Ok, when I try to add an admin through rcon /rcon ********* setlevel [user#] [adminlvl] it says "Could not open config file: shrubbot.cfg, any ideas?
Shrubbot.cfg problems
If your level is 4 or higher. Just do…
!setlevel (player name/slot) (level)
But, they will not be in the configs.
If you want them in the configs. You have to edited the configs. You can’t edited the configs through rcon.
? So I need to put myself and my guid into shrubbot.cfg and then I have to manually add admins if I want them to be able to be admins and come back without me having to readd them as admin?
You do not need to manually add admins into the Shrubbot. Nor do you ever need to use an rcon command to add admins. Once you have set yourself as the top level admin you only need to drop your console and type !setlevel <player slot number> <level you want said player to have>.
As long as you have configured your server.cfg to exec shrubbot.cfg then this is all you need to do to set your admin levels.
Tell them to make the file etkey (in etmain) read-only
make sure g_shrubbot “shrubbot.cfg”
and !readconfig when you make changes to it manually
