shrub server crash question from a noob

Hi there,
I’m wondering if anyone can help me. :banghead:
I’ve just started running a server and I get errors that shut down my server and obviously empties it (sad stuff).

The error most often received is
ERROR: info_limbo_camera cannot find target

Another error received is ERROR: ‘trigger_objective_info’ targets multiple entities with targetname ‘axissidetowertarget’, the second one isn’t a ‘func_constructible’

I didn’t design the maps myself or anything, so I’m not sure what to do or change. Has anyone ever seen these errors, and if so, would you know what to do?

they mean that some entities in the map are borked, for your server to work you should get rid of these maps

Wow, seriously?
One of them happens on Super Gold Rush and one happens on fuel dump. Being one of the original 6, I would have thought my fuel dump map is ok.

Anyone know where I can download maps that work? :frowning:

Hey there laney!

I’m working on this server as well and can now break this down a bit more. 1st, the problem with supergoldrush is gone as its gone…as are all custom maps. However, the real issue has been going on from day one with a stardard 6 map rotation.

Our specs: 2.4 celeron 1 gig of ram running windows 2003 server. One dedicated et game running shrubmod 1.2 beta13

The issue as i see it now:
Once every 11 hours or so the server bombs. What happens in the log file is simple. At the end of a map(just about anymap thats running around this timeframe), “ExitLevel: executed” does not show up in the log, it just moves on to ===Game shutdown=== without that command.The shutdown log at that time goes nuts and begins the “init:” but it starts loading the same map it was on instead of the next map in the rotation.

Now from the client side all the players are in the warmup of the next map calling for the limbo_camera and the server cant find it cuz its not the right map…crash…all players are dumped from the server and watchdog triggers restarting the campaign. i must stress that players are seeing and in the next map for about 5-10 seconds depending on how fast they load in.

It like clockwork, 11hours or very close to that, no mater if we have 2 players on or a full server.

I have another server admin who is completely crashing at about the same timeframe but has never saved his log files and has it as a service so it overwrites the file after a crash when the service restarts it, im betting its the same issue and he has had it with etpro and shrub.(he is running windows 2000 server)
