Should we only be able to get cards from cases for classes we own [broken poll]

I think it’s kinda stupid and a waste of money real or in-game to buy/use a case for the 90% chance of getting a card for characters we don’t own.

Most of the lead cards are useless anyways, so they are pretty much just used for trading up to iron and bronze, and I am trying to get a card for a merc I do not have for when I get him.

I don’t care either way because you can always trade up to get the cards you want unless your poor :stuck_out_tongue:

If we do that, then people will start complaining about getting duplicate loadouts, then we will have a thread about “Should we only get loadout cards on loadouts not owned”

Please don’t put biased options into a poll. I voted for option 3: I don’t care about cards from cases because they won’t be useful.

I am proposing option Four: You can only get cards for mercs you don’t own.

Its fine (unlike your biased poll). Getting cards for mercs you don’t own increases the incentive to buy those mercs. To test out the shiny (business decision they need money). The cards are avaible as soon as you get the hands on the Merc, not only if you buy him but also when he comes into free rotation, it is nice to not be stuck with a single loadout in that situation. And if all else fails they provide wellcome food for trade up to get the cards you actual want.

Don’t know about anyone else but I’ve never gotten a card from a case I’ve actually used. Either traded them up or bought the one I wanted.

I have a proposal…merc specific cases

Like normal cases, but all contain cards for one merc, from lead to cobalt.

Heavely biased poll.

Plus it’s funnier and useful to have cards for mercs you don’t currently own: Some mercs you will eventually unlock, and cards for the mercs you don’t want can be traded.

Plus, if you only rolled out cards for mercs you have, that would inpact the chance of finding something higher than lead, which I’m pretty sure that that is not what the devs/producer wants. That or it will need to make looting cases much more rare…

And at the end, if you really REALLY want that ONE card, just save up to 15k credits for a week or so, and unlock the one.

This already exist in a sense, you can go into the store and buy the card you want. it cost 17k.

One of the poll options goes so far as to say that it’s basically the wrong answer. That’s called bias.

To address the actual question though, I have never gotten something out of a case and been unhappy. Gold Proxy? Don’t use her, I can still use it to trade up for a cobalt though. In fact, there are mercs I own that I don’t use, they’re just as useless to me as a Proxy card, but I can still use them to trade up for another Arty card. Seeing other merc’s cards is interesting and fun.

This wasn’t an intended effect, it was meant to be in a “joking” sense, however despite the criticism, it is still a yes or no question.
