Should Redeye's smoke be able to clense Stokers fire?

(Ferrett321) #1

I know Stoker is not out yet nor confirmed, but I think if he ever comes out he needs a counter for his fire ability.

Kinda like CS:GO, but I think it would make for a good counter.

(RyePanda) #2

Yes, or else an area of the map would be unpassable for quite some time.

(gg2ez) #3

Yes it should. Not only will it give Stoker a good counter, but it will also give people a reason to use Redeye

(Rosenkreuz) #4

Accidentally voted no when I meant to vote maybe.

Where the is smoke, there is fire.

(TheOrangePhantome) #5

Well yeah i think it’d be a good counter even tho people have been suggesting explosives as a counter and that’ll be just a bit cheeky. Also people have teated it in the test lvl and it works.

(Ferrett321) #6

Sooo semi-confirment that it’s already a feature.

(Faraleth) #7

I’m fairly certain I recall hearing somewhere on a stream that when Stoker get’s implemented, he will definitely have some kind of counter to his Molotov. This lead to the speculation of the smoke extinguishing it, like in CS:GO.

(Ferrett321) #8

@TheOrangePhantome Has already tested smoke on fire, and she/he has said that it’s already a feature in the game. weither or not it will make it the final version, I don’t know. Still a little unclear.

I’ve been trying this aswell in the console area and I am quite certain that the smoke will clear out the fire, both for the fact that it is so in the game and balance-wise to have a counter to Stoker.

(TheOrangePhantome) #10

1st of all just wanna clear it out no i haven’t tested it out my self @Ferrett321 i actually used info that @Jaeger gave in a thread a while ago. So i just used info that i remember him sharimg he’s the one that tested it.

CSGO Special Tactics = EZ Win

Appreciate the clarity

(TmGSpade) #13

Just makes red eye much more useful, as I think not many players who play red eye use the smoke.

Of course!
Smoke has parts of water, you know?
Fire can’t live without air

This is only true if the smoke comes from the burning of hydrogen rich fuels. By default, smoke does not contain components of water.

Well with smoke putting out fire it’s more that there’s no oxygen to keep the fire going than it is water in the smoke. Well that’s what i think at least i dunno.

(SpinnerzNQ) #19

Though I am a HUGE Redeye fan, I’d say no. Just doesn’t really make sense. Doesn’t fire create smoke?
Well actually thinking now, it HAS to even on friendly. Imagine how OP it would be to have the fire be covered by the smoke. You can’t see it and you are just randomly dying. So come to think of it, it’s a must
