Should Redeye's smoke be able to clense Stokers fire?

Well actually thinking now, it HAS to even on friendly. Imagine how OP it would be to have the fire be covered by the smoke. You can’t see it and you are just randomly dying. So come to think of it, it’s a must[/quote]

How does fire die out then? It doesn’t just get extinguished by it’s self and by that i mean fire in buildings.

Fire feeds on oxygen as a comburent. It is assumed that the smoke would reduce the levels of oxygen enough to extinguish the fire.

I totally agree with that for now i dont see a real reason to bbuy and play redeye if he was the only one being able to counter stoker which will be played a lot in the beginning i think then he would have something to exist for

i think only Ennemy red eye smoke would extinguish the fire of an ally stoker so if you take a friend one of you is Stoker the other is REd Eye this could still work and be super frustrating for ennemies and that would make me laugh a lot

I feel like only Redeye being able to extinguish Stokers molotov is way too specific of a countermechanic.
what if your team doesn’t have Redeye but there’s a molotov on the objective you’re trying to defuse ?
you would basically HAVE to have Redeye in your squad at all times from the point of stokers release until after his free rotation.

I wouldn’t mind at all if the smoke extinguished the molotov, but only if it’s NOT the only choice.

I am not a fan of rock paper scissors balancing and providing one merc with a counter to another. However, I would be cool with it as long as it also removed RedEye’s smoke. So you give up the ability to use your smoke to put out the fire and vice versa. So they kind of counter each other (and RedEye’s smoke is already countered by explosives anyway).

I like this a lot. Do you keep your smoke for cover or do you use it to remove fire? Makes people think!
