Just as the title says, in competitive, instead of regular cases, should expert cases drop?
Should expert cases drop in competitive?
The problem with this is then buying the cases becomes a waiste of money as they can be easily acquired.
No offense but

I think giving people a strong incentive to play competitive is more important than an extra cash grab. If they cared about money they should’ve made this game pay to play.
If they made it not a guaranteed drop, sure, SD has to make money somehow.
@Watsyurdeal agreed there but the competitive itself must be fixed and optimized to work properly in every region first then it can happen.
I bet they’re gonna make some new items that can only be attained by playing competitive. Unique skins and such.
Personally, I think they should just stick with the current plan. Refine competitive and then run comp “seasons”, then give rewards based on how players did throughout the season (such as the mentioned loadouts, skins or credit bundles). It’s a nice idea though, I’d just rather they stick with the current plan
Would be the whole “competitive mission” fiasco all over again, people playing it for the sake of earning something other than the win/rank.
And comp is still riddled with people who don’t know how to play…sigh…wish I had friends.

An you lost all your credibility. You have no idea how payment models work, do you?
I dont think they need elite case drops, but make a new case thats in between. Something that is say 2 maybe 3x the chance at some higher “value” cards instead of all the leads. Even at 3x the chance is pretty low, but it probably is enticing to get some people to play.
I think another option would be to do a 1.5xp boost in comp (especially considering the wait times) so people are inclined to play it and get some missions knocked out ‘faster’
I remember someone mentioning a comp case drop that will not roll leads, so you’ll at least get an iron if not something better. I liked that idea because it can shorten the trade-up process.
I don’t see how you figure when you can’t argue how terrible the implementation is of the cases.
First of all, too much RNG, not only do you have to gamble for the type of skin, but hope you get a card that’s at least decent.
Second, elite cases are overpriced, 3.49 for a chance to get something I could just trade up for instead.
A much better implementation would have been, assuming we have to keep loadout cards, is one, make ALL loadout cards viable, I don’t care if it means we have 9 cards that are essentially the exact same except for the primary, secondary, melee, and one augment, as long as people don’t feel cheated when they get a card they not only don’t want, but is absolutely useless. And, if they wanted cases people had to pay for, they should have had other varieties, more skins like what we saw before, purely all cosmetic exclusive to certain cases. Like Ruby, or Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, etc. Considering we can get Silver, Gold, and Cobalt from tradeups there’s very little incentive to spend cash.

They are 100% cosmetic. Therefor the term “cashgrab” is objectively wrong. Period.
You are not forced to trade-up, trade-in or buy elite cases AND you’re fully aware you can get loaouts you don’t like.
The system isn’t the best and I would see it changed, too, but saying what you said is just wrong, sorry.
No - player base isn’t large enough to make that implement such a reward. SD really need to get more people playing and having people wait 5 mins or more to play won’t achieve that. I’ve never played a competitive game because the wait time is excessive in Australia at least.
People from Australia are acting like the whole playerbase is like Australias. Sorry, but outside of Australia the waiting times aren’t nearly that long. I did like 30 comp games and the longest time I waited was 01:36. It was 3am in Europe.
The playerbase is fine overall.
The main argument against the drops is money for Nexon.
What they could do is reward people with special skins when they reached a certain rank.

right, its not like a party of two had to wait literally an hour yesterday… oh wait. we did, then we gave up with out a match

I believe you. And I know Australian people are only a few who play comp. And playing on EU/US isn’t an option for you, ping-wise. But I can say, my experience is based on EU and US comp games (I play US at night when EU is empty) anf have no problems at finding easy matches.
