Shiny's Fan-Mercs and Mercenary Fusions (With art and stuff!)
Art’s good and the abilities are kinda neat - just don’t want to make past mercs too useless in comparison, or create game-breakers like aoe revives at long range.

Back in the early days of dirty bomb, there was a merc called Dazzler. He had frag grenades. He had flashbangs. He was…too overpowered and so the dirty bomb gods decided to split him in to two mercs. Those mercs are currently known as Fragger and Thunder.
Back with more fusions and ideas! Suggestions on anything would be great!
This was meant to be a fusion between Kira and Aura called Divine. I kinda forgot about it until now lol. Not sure what class she is, but for now she’s got her own personal Solar Satellite that can discharge radioactive beams.
Flux is a fusion between Fletcher and Sparks. An imposing androgynous Merc, Flux uses Electromagnetic Spheres that magnetise onto enemies, deployables, or objectives.
Victims will get a small shock every second, dealing minimal damage. However, this can chain to the victim’s nearby allies and stack the damage based on how many spheres are attached. Like regular sticky bombs, they can be easily destroyed.
Fusion Ideas:
Wyvern (Turtle + Phoenix): Charming cyborg punk with bullet deflecting nano bots
Pharma (Aura + Nader): Demolition woman with pharmaceutical gas grenades
Nerve (Vassili + Thunder): Wannabe Russian with tranquilizer darts
Flare (Redeye + Stoker): Flare Gun; Shot skywards scans enemies and objects|Shot at enemies burns them
Freefall (Skyhammer + Arty): Call for a supply drop which violently bursts upon impact, harming enemies and leaving ammo clips for your team.
Pacemaker (Aura + Vassili): Trash talking competitive gamer who can mark targets for death, lowering their damage and defense
And finally, a special fusion between Nader and Fletcher:

I love this thread a lot, but shouldn’t we consider new mercs besides cough cough not rip offs of DBZ or SU cough 
I doubt that the two most recent merc fusions were even inspired by Dragon Ball or Steven Universe. Divine doesn’t look anything like Garnet!

Secondaries- Tolen, Empire, Revolver
Melee- Combat beckhill, stiletto, (would be cool if he used a arrow) Cricket bat
Ability- Arrow cam, has a small arrow gun that shoots an arrow that can stick on a surface (maybe also players) with a camera on it
Ability 2- activating the camera, look around a little and mark/call out where and who
Story- Before the Dirty Bomb accident hunter was a simple hunter in Ireland, didn’t matter what he hunted as long as he could trade the animal, or under rare circumstances, person for money, but after the Dirty Bomb incident most of the wild life diminished, but it seemed the CDA needed a group of wild Jackals to be captured, so Hunter did what he knew best, and sought out to hunt them down
Plz leave ideas for improvements and general discussion about this idea, I’m sure there’s room for improvement thanks for reading!

People tend to forget that everyone had frags back then, so Dazzler having two sorts of nades wasn’t OP in itself…

I’ve been working on redesigning my original Mercs from 2015 in my off time and making other folks’ Mercs too.
For now here’s a Burlesque wip and he’s not shirtless this time:

The old Burlesque was basically a Proxy clone so I’ll probably change what he does.
An idea for a merc fusion.
Nader and Bushwhacker
Name: i have none, mabye you guys can decide for me
Ability: armored grenade turret: slow firing turret that has medium damage grenades and higher health than bushwhackers turret. Because of this its larger than its counter part and would have a harder time fighting smaller mercs because the grenades are slower than bullets and easily dodged exept against heavys like rhinos or fraggers.
Class: probaly engineer
Primary: some type of submachine gun or a shotgun
Secondary:pistol
crits are always welcome because my mercs are awful ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Burlesque | Fire Support | 80 HP | 460 Speed (300 with Suit Up)
The new Burlesque is a Cajun Fire Support class with the ability to increase the defense of himself and allies.

Abilities: Suit Up | Strip Down | Ammo Pouch
Suit Up increases the defensive capabilities of Burlesque and nearby allies by 50% at the cost of slowing Burlesque down and attracting enemy projectiles (bullets, grenades, etc) to his location. Enemy deployables will not work in his presence. The effects last even when downed and can also be toggled to Strip Down.
EMP grenades, heavy damage, and shock-waves from Skyhammer and Arty will disable Suit Up for a short period of time.
Strip Down negates all effects and returns his speed. Can be toggled while downed.
Ammo Pouch: You gain ammo for every 15 seconds of being near Burlesque. This applies to Burlesque as well. Works while downed.

Whereas other Fire Supports specialize in crowd control and AoE damage, Burlesque is purely defensive, keeping his team protected and supplied while gradually wearing down enemies of their resources.
Hated his previous design: his look and gameplay was awful. He was basically a beefier Proxy
Named after the raunchy performance art of the same name. Boylesque is actually the correct terminology for male performers, but Burlesque just sounded cooler.
His overall design is intended to balance the gameplay gender dichotomy currently present in Dirty Bomb by taking on female Mercenary archetypes: youthful, athletic physique, form fitting clothing, low health, high speed, and really nice hair.
Also gave him some booty since the current male mercs are in a buttless loose jean dystopia (besides Arty of course)
First, how much exactly is the slowdown? Second, explain “attract enemy projectiles”, I’m a little confused what is that supposed to be.
Other than that, besides this not being a “fire” support class, it seems pretty decent. Also, I remember reading from somewhere women prefer men with smaller butts, so probably better to slim it down a little, just a little. Gotta appreciate the effort to make an attractive male character, though, thumbs up for design.
The only downside i see that hasnt been said already is that people would probally stay as one type if him and not switch.
I personally enjoy all the arts and ideas for the forems.
What do you guys think if my Nader Bushwacker combo?

Whoa sorry, didn’t see this message till now! I am in LOVE with the fusion:
- long range bombardment
- turret told to aim at a selected location
- blows up when destroyed
- the merc blows up when killed if the turret is still in their inventory
Visually, I imagine an enthusiastic American civil war reenactor lol. The only names I can think of include Cannon and Siege.
Golly, this is a creative Merc, but Aimee already fills the role of using a camera 
However, you could have this Merc use sensory crossbow arrows that mark targets who get hit. A neat idea I have for him is that he can pull arrows out from enemies to reclaim it AND if they’re still alive give them bleeding damage.
