Shacknews misses ET.

Dear SD,
your work is/was appreciated and is still discussed. Currently, this thread is mostly positive so I decided to share the link.

PS: Shacknews isn’t a clan and I’m not schilling anything. Shacknews is a gaming news site originally started by Steve Gibson currently of Gearbox Software. Mostly it’s random gamers in the community, but there are also people from various developers and publishers in the community. On rare occasions people like Cliff Bleszinski or George Broussard drop by and post. /namedrop.
Fun fact, Shacknews is an acknowledgement in DNF.
Also fun fact, Rydogg allowed me to use the shack’s Teamspeak server when we were doing the PC Brink community nights.

PPS: Don’t get cocky. They’re turn on you in a second. It’s an internet forum after all.

There could be an update for Wolf:ET,the graphical and mostly new maps/media…Well reworked Radar,Goldrush,Railgun,Oasis,Fueldump and Battery, that’s it!

But what ever,SD likes to work on their new game!

I’m not sure how they can miss ET, it’s still there.

And also, you don’t go this long in the game development world and not know who shacknews is

I liked shacknews when it had the old site layout, now it’s not that great

In NA, it’s mostly servers filled with bots or mods set to extreme settings. A game of vanilla-esque ET is pretty much impossible to find.

Well I’m just saying, when you have a large group of people saying they miss the game, then that’s the perfect opportunity to get a large group of people to organise some weekend games and decide on a server to gather on. The game is still there, just needs a little effort to get some matches going kind of like the ETQW Nirvana games, people know where and when to go if they want some fun.

I still play some ETpro Euro servers from time to time…as ‘vanilla’ as you can get nowadays.
