I was thinking of We could vote in this thread but I am having second thoughs Maybe thread devoded for voting would be better and all the chit chat would be here. Maybe I just setup a appealing voting thread… Can I use direct image links to your site MindLink?

I had a blast at sunday evening/night at the LMS server we had 3vs3 and 2vs2 with all the maps! People seems to like the maps a lot with the lms gamemode. My ping were poor but still managed to frag some.

I gotta fix a few things like the time limit :stuck_out_tongue: Also gonna lose the windows in the spawn and remove 1 of the team door’s each side.
My Pc is dead though so i may not have done this for a few days :confused:

I think we should get the voting off first.

What do you think of editing the details of the map a little to make them look just a little bit different so you can tell that this is the next version?

seven yeah, no problem linking that, still got enough traffic left on my server.
But, I’ll have to say this once again, I’d prefer a non public voting over this now, and especially one where everybody could vote more than one map in every category. Best would be to have 2 or 3 judges who give points to every map for each aspect.
I guess I could simply win this “public” vote by telling all people that I know to simply not vote for the best map but for mine. (that’s an example of what will happen here for sure).

@seven_dc - don’t know if its intentional but in your map its possible to bypass the bridge by jumping onto the yard-arm to the right and then doing a strafe jump to the bridge end entrance. As for being a speedy individual, I was just lucky that there was no bad stuff in the bsp itself :wink:

@MindLink As for the voting - had bad experience in a q2 comp once where exactly that was happening. Its only human nature to vote for your m8’s map… It really needs an impartial ‘jury’ :slight_smile:

No thoughts on my earlier comment about 2 sets of voting - public and mappers themselves?

Gerbil still, even if the mappers vote, I’d prefer no voting a la “this is the best in that category” but giving each map points for all categories like :

mapxyz :
design 5/10
gameplay 6/10
atmosphere 2/10
idea 4/10

(except for your own map of course :slight_smile: )

I think the mapper shall have own voting. To please MindLink we should do it his way. So every mapper shall vote something like the MindLink design. But first I like to set up a public voting before I go to private voting. The idea of this is to get people going. I this is disaster no one votes :(. Well I think we mapper can participate in this public voting. And the results are well we see who has most friends here :stuck_out_tongue:

Hold your horses joop sloop.

I think we could try to release new map pack at the end of the week, but we need still to figure out what has to be done in what map.
i think the goals are:

  • the pack goes through the Siliconslicks cheker.
  • Little bugs in the maps are fixed.

At least I know few bugs in my map that I want to correct.

Hey will the Final Map-pack be a campaign??

Im having fun playing on them and think they will be great as a warm up for my mates next LAN party but a 7 map campaign would make things a bit handier to play through…

Ive only played them so far on the jolt server so dunno if ND80’s are playing them as a campaign.

y I’d like to fix those nasty sparklies on the arches and the dodgy light banding on the patches near the safe (due to grouping AFAIK) among other things…

Ok I think we could start fixing our maps little bit. do everyone agree?

BTW I had a blast in Red*UK’s server last nite with some clan (I do not remember who was it =SGM= ?!?!) they were 6 of us and I played all the maps as axis. Sorry that it has been slow. I been busy with other projects and my graduation work.
