Set Brightness not working?

Whenever I go to set my brightness it doesn’t change. Regardless of if it’s .50 or 2.0 it doesn’t change… Now whenever I play everything is too dark…

I had that problem with RTCW on one PC.

What worked for me:

Latest video drivers
Adjust the gama on the video drivers in the video overlay
And it worked fine

But i have seen that problem also, in that case that didn’t work, but changing from generic display to the specific monitor drivers solved the problem.

Thanks for the help, but I found the problem. My computer recgonized my TV In/Out as a seperate monitor and my computer monitor as being hooked up into the computer. Instead of my computer monitor being “1” and my TV being “2”, it was the other way around. I just switched them and it fixed everything.
