My server browser says:
approx 150 un-patched servers with 2100 players at 12 noon EST.US. time
approx 600 2.60 patched servers with 6000 players at 5:30pm EST.US. time

BUT check this out…it says that I have filter settings that filter out 2000 servers on the patched side… BUT ALL of the filters are un-checked !

600 ET servers, 2000 filtered out for NO reason ? …un-confuse me please.

P.S. I do not start ET with a mod.

I think theres a max number of servers that CAN be listed due to browser restrictions in game

The 2.60 browser seems to be kind of retarded, heard a lot of whining from my LANmates (I propagated ET in my block of flats :P). That’s why I use 3rd party server browsers. :wink:

Maybe he filters all the server with a too high ping automaticly?

In etmain I actually get less servers after disabling the filters, though it varies a lot.

The “filtered out” ones also includes server that doesn’t respond (or who’s response is dropped) afaik, so my guess is that a lot of packets are lost due to how ET scans servers. I tried to capture it in Ethereal, but then all of a sudden almost all servers responded… (Maybe it scans a bit slower with winpcap active.)

It’s not my connection that can’t handle it, because my own scanner gets 2800 responses in 1/3 of the time it takes ET.

But I just wanna say that this is caused by the bug fixed here: http://games.chruker.dk/enemy_territory/modding_project_bugfix.php?bug_id=084

I short what is happening is that if the server browser with your current filter settings returns less the 2048 servers it will display them all. However as soon as it goes over 2048 it forgets the first 2048 servers.
