Whenever I play et I get stuck with playing with or against noobs/average players. If i’m lucky I get to play with/against 5/6 good/great players. Now i was wondering if someone could post a few IP’s where a lot of good/great players often play.

two good’uns, mostly clanned players in hiding, so-to-speak. good competition. servers are in US/CA, dunno where you reside, if EU, BiO is quite good as Fusen said (my ping there is stinky :()
as a rule, if you want a good game, play on servers where competitive players go pubbing. get ASE and set your filters to only show:

antilag doesn’t matter anymore since etpro has it’s own. balanced teams sounds good in theory but the best servers tend to have it off so they can scrim/stack/whatever, so disregard that filter. as for weapon restrictions, the best servers run league configs so heavy weps will likely be at 20% or thereabouts, also etpro has limiters. if you hate the idea of being limited and you also love to pile up that juicy XP, change the Stopwatch filter to Campaign and look for servers with g_heavyweaponrestriction set to 100 - but don’t expect the same level of opponents. the fact is the best players prefer stopwatch and weapon restrictions so that the game isn’t too spammy and relies more on skill and aim. also it’s just best to practice in an environment similar to a match. another thing to look for is league-ish cvar restrictions, which are a good thing.

Our own R0F servers don’t attract those 1337 players (sniff ;-)) but they have been set-up to maximize gameplay i.e. only 1 piece of each heavy weapon allowed & g_heavyweaponrestriction to 10.
Some of these servers are great if you want to practice your aim (and play frag fest) against good players, but if you want to complete the objectives you should go somewhere else. The private slots on Efterlyst are often used, so it’s too big for my taste (20 slots) even when I do feel like playing there.
that’s why i suggested the et-center boxes. 16 slots max. they’re basically the ideal setup, and just about exactly how i would setup a box. they’re in north america though so i dunno for you euro-punks 
i know BiO is good but they don’t use wep restrictions for some odd reason (perhaps they do, with etpro?)
i used to have a list saved someplace of servers with only the best of the best settings. i’ll try to find it.

The only heavy weapon I use is the MG, that’s only on 2 out of like 25 weapons I regulary see. I like to play with cov and engi, the engi, with engi I like to play with a granade launcher. When I play on a server with restricted/limited choice of weapons usually the granade launcher is unselectable also, that’s the reason I dont like weapon restrictions.
Anyways enough blabbing. I used to play a lot on 2 servers, 1 server got deleted but the other one is still up and running okay okay nowadays more “newbies” show up there but it’s not as bad as some other servers

I’m only an average player, so what I call good/great, you might call mediocre, but I play on Ilangame.com a lot (when I can get on it, cause it’s always full or close to it). All Fuel Dump, all the time. It has 20 player slots, limited heavy weapons, FF on, balanced teams. The FPS is pretty good, and it seems about as stable as any ET server ever gets. It’s usually a bit losided towards defense, but it’s fun to watch some of these really scary good Axis players, even when they are kicking my ass.
Yeah, I used to play on it, but I can only take so much fueldump (gasp) and IIRC PB is off… not sure though. Also, that place tends to be crawling with newbies.
