it’s done like this
If you see in your picture,
“To see the details of this error click here.”
Is this not working? If so post the details.
Hardware seems fine btw, its most likely a corrupt file. But need to see the error details.

But I don’t want ironsights integrated into my eyeballs
that’s funny, ya know the devs would ask for a dxdiag on the old forums to trouble shoot the issue, wonder why that is…
Windows uses Direct3d for 3d rendering where as OpenGL is open source and used by pretty much every other operating system (quake wars happens to use opengl), your opengl driver information is in that dxdiag anyway, on the old community forums it said in the sticky to always include a dxdiag report in your trouble shooting post. if you’re on vista (which i believe i read that you are in that report? too lazy to look back lol) if i remember correctly opengl tends to be a bit buggy, i’d try playing with driver optimizations in the nv control panel, for both ati and nvidia those opts tend to be what causes the crashing of games (for a long time ati users had to shut off catalyst ai), i happen to be an ati user so that is the extent of the help i can really give you other than guessing games lol
Not quite, DirectX is Windows only, OpenGL is all OS’s including Windows. All ID titles are in OpenGL. The main reason for choosing OpenGL over DirectX is portability to Mac and Linux. There is normally no massive performance differance
Also remember when installing new vid drivers its a must to uninstall the old ones first.
sorry you mistook what i was saying i meant primary renderer, of course windows uses opengl or you wouldn’t be able to play RTCW, QW, Wolfenstein MP, and many others under windows, i really didn’t think that needed to be said

my mistake, laziness is always my downfall, lol
oh and just for old times sake, i posted this on the old forums a couple times, it’s the proper way to uninstall and install new drivers… follow each step precisely:
hope this helps
Not true if you are using Vista (or newer) Lastest version even don’t request a reboot.
