server wont start cant get pass loading screen. when I join a server it gets stuck at loading, the end of the loading bar flickers. how to fix?

And you have verified that you actually have an etkey in the …/wolfenstein enemy-territory/etmain folder?

what does verify mean? what etkey? I am able to join other servers just not the first one I try. and I have also got lag and I have a high end pc, does gpu or internet connection speed matter in this game?

Maybe firewall is blocking it? Try to open port 27960 in your router/pc firewall. Try to run ET as admin.

If you have a new install of windows 7, you should turn on windows updates if you haven’t already and download all the recommeneded updates. Reason for this as i have seen in the past. Windows updates your drivers and most drivers don’t work really well causing the game lags also you’l notice a drop in internet speed too if im right? So do that. Then see what happens. I think theres around 532 updates or something but they’l help.

Never ever update video card driver through Windows Update. First check if you can (some laptops are made to stay with their default driver, check Toshiba for instance…), then try to update through the video card manufacturer website.

Had to roll back due to WU mistake in the past…
