Strange,just got a new server…I try and connect and I get
“Server Uses Protocol 43”,and it won’t connect.
My server host is slow at helping,so I figured I’d post it here,you guys help just as much.
Any help would be appreciated,thanks

AFAIK protocol 43 is used by Quake 3 Arena. Which game do you expect to be hosted?

Some providers let you choose between several games. Maybe you have to choose your game first and need to configure it with a web interface?

The server is probably using a different ET version than yours( Or a different game ). Which version do you have installed? What server IP/port?

I think if you post the IP (with port), someone will be able to find out which game is running

lol wow. protocol 43 was Q3 versions 1.11 - 1.16. we’re talking ancient stuff here.

No. Worst case would be two times I think from ET 2.55 to 2.56 and finally 2.60. But first the server has to run the game you ordered (ET).
