I am being disconnected regularly by more than one server with the following message:
server disconnected for unknown reasoncopy
/mnt/hdb/usr/local/games/enemy-territory/etmain/ui.mp.i386.so to /home/username/.etwolf/shrubet/ui.mp.i386.so
Note the “reasoncopy”
This appears to happen periodically. I have played for a few minutes and been disconnected and have played throughout a map and been disconnected.
I copied the file myself manually and it does not seem to make a difference. The file was already there but had different times/date.
Anyone know what the file is for and how to overcome this problem? It does not appear to be a problem with punkbuster. The file would be in the wrong location to be a punkbuster problem and the error message is a server message not a punkbuster message.
If ET allows for mods and has a linux client and some library is being updated on the fly then there’s a responsibility to be had here by some party. I can’t play with it disconnecting me all the time.
I played last night without any problems for several hours. Today is completely different in that it lets me play a significantly shorter amount of time and disconnects me.
