Just when ya almost get “double needles”…lagometer goes solid. I usually play a lot on the 32+ servers and it seems to happen A LOT.
A lot (words of day) of people in the full (i.e. 30-64players) THEN POOF…, gets frustrating…so ya try another server and…ya get the story blah blah blah Sure is ALOT a fun but gets old when the servers crash consistently.

It’s definitely related to the campaign mode as far as I can tell. I run 7 ET servers, 6 campaign and one stopwatch. Today all 6 campaign servers have crashed at least once (some twice) but the campaign mode server is going strong.

My server seems to be crashing with error:

Sys_Error: Z_Malloc: failed on allocation of 32832 bytes from the main zone
Shutdown tty console

I had com_zonemegs at 64, changed to 128 to see if that would fix it, but no dice.

Server crashes constantly…

I work for a hosting company and I can’t recommend to the owner that we should support this game with the frequent crashes.

Any ideas?

I was twice in your server(ECGN It was runnin great-Thanks MAN-AT-ARMS) this morning when it crashed, and along with other servers, like Happy Penguin1 who WANTS to go 64 dedicted from the ol depot, and most other east-west coast server’s that have 32+players). I have come to think that it usually crash’s at the 5th map, midway. I could be wrong, but it is what usually seems to happen… servers fills-1st campaign is get your team together compain while server fills and then the real action…POOF. looking through the console I dont see anything abnormal. blah blah blah…
ECGN is back up, time ta go play with the mortar(battery is a great map for it)

I’ve experienced five crashes since Thursday. Two have been hard crashes where the server shuts down with proper shutdown lines in the logfile and two have been a lockup variant where the process continues to run but is not responsive. They occur at varying times during the game, but mostly during the middle of normal play while highly-trafficked (~30 players) and after several hours (>3 or so) have passed.
