Feel relived that a W:ET issue has been resolved and announced in the ET:QW forum section…shame the same urgency wasn’t provided when the ET:QW master server stats were taken down.

Sooooo … now when the W:ET is fixed it will not take so long time before QW master server is up and running, if I have understood it right??

This is the first time I can say I havn’t played ETQW in weeks!

So in the mean time setting up etqw over vpn. vpn is working (several tests to prove it) and then when connecting to the etqw server it results in:

This is the first time I can say I havn’t played ETQW in weeks!

I hurts to say, but same for me. I’ve play a match in the FTM league but that’s it.
I’m even getting a social life, it’s horrible

i payed 80 buks for teh limited collector’s edition and I can’t get my server to autenticate but W:ET is still alive and doing better than ETQW whats going on here i hope i never wast my money i never really played this much now i wanna and i can’t host a server please let me know whats going on or how to fix my server so it Authenticates i have teh 1.5 dedicated server files or is there a later version.

Maybe take a look at that patch that circumvented the need for authentication.

It was in the forums some where, I recall some Russian site was involved.

He can’t just magically fix anything. Splash Damage doesn’t own the rights to the authentication server. It’s not up to them as to when it’s up and down. The rights for that lie with either iD or Activision, and from what badman has already said, iD is looking at fixing the issue. You just need to calm down, it will get fixed when it does. Splash Damage can’t just make it happen.

I think Activision saw that I wasnt playing anymore, so they said “meh, without apples this game can die” and poof servers are down…
