Not true
The 360 doesn’t support OpenGL, only DirectX 9.0c. It’s the OpenGL renderer that’s causing the ATI problems on PC, so if you do have performance problems on 360, the causes aren’t related
Seriously, Splash Damage.... SERIOUSLY! (Don't be a let down)
Badman,
I see your point for not releasing a date, but you do realize that your game is dieing right before your eyes, right? Just a week ago, the game was struggling with 2,000 people PEAK playing the game and now it’s barely touching 1,500 people a day with the majority of the people playing now EU. The peak for 8-10pm (prime time) for U.S gamers is about 600-800 people… Not releasing a date is fine, but is it too hard to state exactly what’s coming out with the DLC?
What will it take for a drastic change to happen ? Does the game need to have less players than RTCW? I’m not quite sure how silence is helping your cause and helping revive this game.
At this point marketing wise, you would need to release an awesome patch + DLC combination along with a drop in price of the game after all the review critics bashed your game repeatedly. At this point, no one from the PC side of things and probably the game in general have any faith in the DLC because there is ZERO information regarding it minus what was released weeks ago! If the DLC is as is, say so and the PC community will be officially dead.
With that being said,
All the PC community is asking for is WHAT is currently being done to fix the issue with the game dieing day by day. If it’s too much to ask for, release the SDK and we’ll fix it ourselves!!!
Exactly.
I dont care about DLC anymore (and never did tbh its nice for new maps and stuff but its not essential).
Put steam on a huge sale or release the sdk and make the game free like W:ET.
Thats your only hope.
Dozens if not hundreds of players want basic things:
demo, chat during intermission, stable/improved fps, viop stuff sorted.
Its all been said I fear its too late though:(
^^This. PLEASE let the DLC come bundled with a huuuuugggggge patch! I’m banking on this, as, let’s face it, the DLC content was probably ready on release day.
The DLC is still coming. The moment we have a date we’re 110% sure won’t change, we’ll throw it at the internet. There are many factors and moving parts involved, and we’re wanting to stay as far away from “rolling” release dates as possible.
:stroggtapir:
Thanks for the response. I hope the recent security issues didn’t cause too big of a fuss for you guys.
Would really love to see the launch day settings returned for Freeplay public matches.

Two. No new news on the DLC? Really?
We are halfway through this month. Even a hollow reminder, that DLC is on the way, would be welcomed/sufficient, no?
That’s because they want to have it come out, without any notice, what so ever… so everyone comes on the forums and says…
“Wow Splash Damage!
Nice job doing it without notice… BUT YOUR GAME STILL SUCKS… Waaaah!”
It would appear that something’s afoot in the Freeplay settings, this morning…
The game is afoot!
Had to say it! Anytime you can work in a Sherlock Holmes reference, ya do it!
Just 10 days left in the month of June!
Maybe, we’ll get some surprise news this week.
At this point I personally feel SD needs to address the main concerns voiced by people and soon.
If this game cant get it right (and soon)… how can we trust future Sd games?

I’ve watched 3 horrible FPS releases, followed by incompetent missteps in the post-launch support, this year already, that resulted in pretty dead games after only several weeks.
**One of those games even had SONY as it’s publisher, fully backing it (by Sony standards), even running those retardedly ineffective (for individual games) Kevin Bulter commercials for it. Was hilarious to watch the lead designer dash for an escape pod, shortly after release.
**One of those games even made an official announcement that they were already started on a sequel to their release and was looking forward to a successful franchise… 12 weeks before their owners closed down their studio
Yeah, I’m nearly at the end of my rope with such nonesense this year, and we’re only halfway through it. I’ve already added two publishers/developers to my “DoNotWant” list this year, so I’m eager to round off the trio as soon as possible just to get this gaming rut over with.
I like Brink, but if it’s more of the same, then so be it. Plenty of other FPS developers out there (would give me extra time to familiarize myself with the EVE universe in preparation for the upcoming Dust514 release).
