i did, but lost the spikes. maybe because it was too small. have to repaint it manually.

anyone got a tut how to make a fluorescent blue light? maybe with some animation of the halo.

lol, i just wanted to create a neon-tube like userbar and had to realize that not even in 2006 this is possible with the current web-image formats. jpg is too lossy for fonts, gif has too few colors and only 1 transparency level and png, the obvious format which should be used, has good compression, full color support and 256 transparency levels, but it doesn’t support animation. and i refuse to use flash. would be about time to introduce a new image format 4 ze veb.

You can choose the compression rate of JPG’s.
But I think JPG’s aren’t animatable.

Well, there are some guys working on APNG, but I haven’t found an application to make them.

You can fix this with a script easily, or alternatively dont use that *$%&ing pile of £$it that is Internet Explorer (wait for the new version)!!!

And how many use IE and use such a script? Or even know about it? They will just see your pic with an ugly gray border (when you’re lucky, can also be pink) and will blame you for it.

“from”, though “by” would possibly be better, “of” would only work if you had written “the games”, but that wouldn’t sound very good anyway.

It doesn’t qualify as a proper userbar (350x19), but I realize that adhering to the userbar criteria would be difficult with the transparent external bits. I love the sentiment though!

On that note, does anyone play Q3F? There are no public servers showing in ASE, but perhaps there are in the in-game browser? (Such a problem is known to exist with Q4.) I’ve been meaning to download it again; it might be a fun way to satisfy those SD cravings while waiting for ET:QW. :wink:

Nobody plays Q3F any more - the mod was ported to ET as ETF, and what was left of the community moved over with it.

There’s some rumblings of continued support in the forum.

Some people did create one, though it could have been a userbar cycling that member’s favourite games.
