Apparently SD employees can talk about those sort of details there, but not here. Strange. If this Fishbus guy is in fact an employee… I doubt it’s a fake, that’s just being a little paranoid. I just find it odd they wouldn’t post here first.

Can’t really say I blame him for not posting it here, practically every dev post is jumped on by a bandwagon of people complaining about unrelated things that SD are already aware of and working on. They most likely would rather just read the community feedback, work on the important changes and post about them here when they’re done.

Do you see the irony? Him not posting here to avoid being mauled is the very reason he is being mauled.
Anyways, the SD team has made me a bit disappointed. I made this thread to nicely ask for some general info and even though i know for a fact that a few SD people read the thread, no one answered. And honestly, I would not mind it where it not for the fact that they are divulging information and aswering more questions on other forums rather than in their own

Why advertise a product that 90% of people on this forum already have bought?
Now post on a few other places where people can still be marketed then you can see why they don’t really put much effort in keeping this place updated.Time is money.

A lot of the TF2 and UT style maps would work well in Brink, imho. Balanced, neutral maps with mutual objectives are the way ahead.
But the future of the franchise is, again imho, dependent on SD/Beth quickly increasing the number of modes and maps. Only massive fan-boys can claim that the campaign was satisfactory, or that Brink doesn’t quickly get a bit ‘rinse and repeat’…and I AM a fanboy.

its not about the campaign multiplayer games need to seperate themselves from campaign/MP format!!! thats a big leap that needs to be done but the market demands both or the reviews wont be good and people wont buy this needs to stop now!!! my favorite games are tacking on bad MP(bioshock) leave the space availabe for a longer story not just charging us more later in the forms DLC MP games on consoles need to be able to be just that fill that disc space to the brim for a bigger and better looking and playing MULTI PLAYER GAME!!!

busting a choke point would be easier if say, voip was properly implemented from the get go? most of us had to “re-discover” this timeless feature and it still looks as if many are still left behind. my team voip button won’t work because it is not bound to default.
creating a fireteam is its own mini-game and is about as fun and promising as initiating plant/repair/hack obj.
2 things right there, which should be straightforward and without much thought to complete, are responsible for quite a few choke points not being properly negotiated by countless pub players.

The devs have posted over 300 times since launch, and this isn’t even the “Official Tech Forum”, that’s at Bethesda. I think they give pretty good, especially with the absolute rudeness and crap they have to read in these forums. It’s like someone standing outside your house screaming your mother’s a whore 24/7
