SD, can you please shed some light on Brink's future?

I am making this thread to politely ask the people of SD to tell us about the future of Brink. More specifically, I am going to list some things that I would like to know about what is to come. To be more clear, I am NOT looking for when , I am looking for if this things are being considered for adjustments/implementation in the future.

1. Lobby system/matchmaking system. Number one in list for a reason

[B]2. Switching characters and size between matches, NOT in-game.

  1. Split screen.

  2. Map adjustments- [/B]Including but not limited to container city. I have seen spawn camping in resort too.[B]

  3. Weapon adjustments

  4. New objectives/missions for already existing maps[/B]- seems easier than new maps (dont mean we dont want them), and something where both teams are on offense. Seems more dynamic.

7. Clan system/support.

If anyone else has anything they would like to ask about this is probably the time to do so. And if you feel that this are things you would like to hear SD talk about please comment on it so SD will notice it.

Me and my team bust through that spot nonstop all the time. If you can’t get past the first gate then you just suck. Sorry. Not trolling or trying to be mean but it’s not that hard to speed buff a light and plant that bomb.

not to make a flame war or arguement but if you have a good team playing against yours (like me with my eagle eye instant headshot kill speedy fingers and god aim you might want to retract that statement) but if your whole team just switches to soldier and rushes it the opposing team wont have time to even get to you if you get caught its cause you really do suck.

I second all these opinions, however, it IS unfair for security to have such a geological disadvantage right at there respawn area. It’s natural for you to sorta like it if you’re on resistance, but lets be fair. you know?

I guess if there were 8 dudes just like you I’d struggle a little. I tend to focus on area denial and side swiping packs of people who never seem to see me coming.

SD’s politics seems to remain silent untill the job is done, they read it and are aware of the problems tho, but dont expect that much of an answer except for the time when badman will post “it is fixed” :smiley: (if it is ever fixed :wink: I still can’t read the future)

alright, here’s some more

My post is just two choice picks, there’s a lot more than just those that are getting changed/fixed/balanced. I’m working on a special multi phase system I want to roll out in time, this is just the fasted and simplest changes I can do right now.

The gerund is really nice for the first 5 - 8 shots in ironsights, Rhett is for more sustained fire (although it’s not as accurate). Euston is nice as a “heavy SMG” as it fires faster than the other ARs but it recoils a lot, it keeps tight in ironsights though (that’s the AR rule of thumb). I actually like using the Rockstedi a lot in mid/long range as there’s a lot of ammo, fires pretty fast and keeps tight as long as you remember the rule. FRK is trash, but won’t be for long.

As for the kross, it’s actually nice, but surprisingly the weakest damaging smg by a long shot

Question to Dev

Fish, would it be possible for you to convince someone over at SD to release statements with whats being worked on for patches ? A lot of people would probably have renewed interest and not uninstall the game from their machines if they had some sort of timetable for when to come back and expect to play actively.

We are trying to, it’s just it has to be authorized by our publisher. Which doesn’t allow things to come fast and frantic (as an upside - possibly a little undercooked) as we want.

I usually stay here + IRC from time to time, and this is largely enough to have the info I need, people are just so impatient these days… SD are working, thats for sure, so I dont need anything else to know right now.

Im sorry, but i don’t see any future, most of my friends are already stoped playing, other playing only coz they have nothing else to do. It would take months to make things from your list, and i dont see how Brink will last till then. Im not a hater, im just telling what i see.
