Screen res screwy on my mac

(fetzjr) #1

Well i set this is my screen res:

r_customwidth 1440
r_customheight 880
r_mode -1

It looked perfect… but the bottem of the screen had about 1/4 of an inch not covered. And the top was pushed up about 1/4 of an inch… idk how to move the screen down like you would a Safari window. (It isn’t fullscreen mode… just the width and height are supposed to cover my whole screen)

Hello,

The reason is you don’t use a core resolution, so the game adapts as good as it can the aspect ratio… Same here if I use a custom res, tested on 2 Win 7.

Better set a default resolution and force a stretch in drivers or keep black borders IMO

How can i do this? “Force a stretch”

( i want to be able to alt-tab out… so i cant go full screen D:)

Well I know for NVidia cards, you can choose though the NVidia Panel, and for ATI Radeon cards this is random (Really xD), this on Windows; I don’t know but I guess there’s their equivalent for MacOS?

I really do not know how to do this D:

Tried these commands with r_customaspect 1 ?

never heard of 1440x880
according to that (old) list above, it would probably be 1440x900 … those 20 pixels could be what is missing.

else you can move the window around, when in windowed mode
vid_xpos (variable)(A)
syntax: vid_xpos [number of pixels] default: 3
Positions the game screen the specified number of pixels from the left edge of the monitor screen when in windowed mode.
vid_ypos
