If you guys at SD are working on RTCW2, please put in trickjumping features
Such as ETPro’s trickjump lines/ghosts, perhaps better recamming (defrag style). That is all, love ETs TJ features.

No dont, its sad and we have far better things to do, than practice a jump to within a micron of a nats cock. Only to find you cant do it in a game as someone has seen your cock sure attitude and blew you away with a panzar.
As long as they keep it to rainbow coloured ponies and the occasional tapir, and none of them exotic animals it’s fine with me

LMFAO.
where can i learn more about this ghosting feature you speak of? never heard of it. would it be like in mario cart’s ghost in TIME ATTACK mode?
http://bani.anime.net/banimod/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3336 <- for more on trickjump ghosts.
I will be happy, too, Sickboy, but it sure would be nice to take ghosts and lines without waiting for (hopefully) the ETPro team to support it. If it is on the D3 engine, trickjumping will be supported. It was a pretty big part of RTCW and ET, I’m sure it will it will be allowed.
no it doesn’t Trickjumping is something the players came up i cant get the idea that SD specialy created it to give us trickumping it think its just a feature that players made up when then they have lots of time to spare
now the big part of ET is like nail says rainbow coloured ponies and the occasional tapir that are hiding in the oasis dungeon if you watch carefully you can find them everywhere
:nag:
Trick jumping is part of the Q3 engine, something which they were well aware of as former Q3 modders. The fact that it’s still there in ET means either A) that the SD crew isn’t competent enough to remove it  , or B) they left it in on purpose. Take your pick.
(Answer can be found here btw.)
heh dind’t know that
but still is TJ that big part of a game its rare these days to see someone trickjumping on a normal server most people are against it (on servers that is)
well still if people have the time to practice Trick jumps i have nothing against it
I ran a very successful trickjumping website for a year … it is like everything else. I would say most people have tried to trickjump and failed and didn’t try again. I mean, tj’ing in Q3 was and still is HUGE. Some people live for tj’ing
If RTCW2 doesn’t allow for it, I have absoutely no reason to get it.
To be pedantic, part of the q3 (and q2) derived gamecode (pmove). The engine doesn’t have any concept of physics, let alone dictate particular features.
Going on what Doom 3’s like, there should be tricking in RTCW2. What kind of got me tho was the physics change from 1.1 to 1.2 in D3. Strafing in 1.2 now means you go alot further… the hardcore strafes in D3frag map are so simple now you can overjump the 2nd pad (well done Id for ruining that project), and also strafing needs different timing than it used to. There’s also a curios bounce bug, when you land from a height you get slightly pushed forward, combine that with a well timed rocketjump and you can go far as hell (excuse the pun). I just hope when RTCW2 is released, they dont go and release a patch later on that changes the movement… wont be happy.
i think it sad you see it like that i would just buy the game becuz its a Rtcw game
and not for the rainbow coloured pony’s
i can’t imagine seeing so much as a leaked screenshot of rtcw2 for a very, very long time (years). q4 is only just now seeming real, when it will be released noone can say. i seriously doubt they would release the sequel to one of the biggest (and arguably the most important) franchises in history, only to steal it’s spotlight by quickly releasing rtcw2, which will indeed be a spotlight hog in it’s own right.
i’d suggest you all put rtcw2 in the very back of your mind, lol. one day we’ll all wake up, many moons from now, and realize it’s been released. no point agonizing over it now.
I don’t think anybody is agonizing over it but what is the point in voicing your concerns of features that you would like to see in the game a week before it is released
Dunno out about that, with ET being a freebie download RTCW is now massive, possibly bigger than rocket noob quake.
