RTCW Mod?

(EvilBaga) #1

Where can I download this mod that Ive heard so much about?

the retail game rtcw? have to buy it  unless there’s actually a rtcw mod for et??

now that you mention it I’ve been thinking of setting up an ET server asmuch as possible like rtcw - rtcw-conversion maps, use etpro to remove xp & rifle nades etc… maybe tempt some people to try it - more as a joke though, and see if there’s actually any interest

o, forgot about that thing :o

DG, can the rate of fire be fixed so as to be nearer to RtCW’s? And the hitboxes? :open_mouth: - I finally played the decent conversion of mp_beach - it was really very, very good but it felt odd to be mining up the sea wall breach. ET’s crying out for a decent 8 minute compo map imho…

not AFAIK in etpro, but that rtcwmod says it has the rtcw spread (presumably not the hitboxes).

If I went ahead with the server I’m not sure which ~I’d go with, probably stick to ETPro, due to its many other improvements (specifically antilag, anticheat, stickycharge) and also everyone has and is comfortable with that mod already - plus I know its not going to be buggy/problematic. Things majorly in favour of the rtcwmod would be weapon spread, the rtcw-esk sniper & panz, and generally more authentic.

Yup, your prolly right about ET-Pro - antilag for me is awesome - I think half my play is based on prediction when I use teh 56k and it’s still good for headshots :open_mouth: - Still, I hanker after that explosive ROF and of course hitboxes that are within 10 feet of your opponents model - heh.
