'Rogue en Vogue' Drop Boosters Explained

(Randomdeath) #61

Hmm… So if a dupe thread is supposed to be taken down… And shoe posted his thread after me. And shoe made his thread in the part no one pays attention to until he comments on it. and mine was in general chat, the place everyone goes first. and mine was slightly popular and shoes wasnt until he commented and got from page… shoes post (by these rules) should be taken down and my thread re opened. There was no point in closing a DISCUSSION on this, and refer me to a BULLSHIT LIE that these guys pass for an explanation. THIS IS NOT JUST BAD LUCK SHOE TELL US WHY YOUR BOSSES STOLE OUR CREDIT BOOSTER CASH

(Sinee) #62

Just worth noting, shoe is a community manager(?). Don’t shoot the messenger. I highly doubt he’s the one orchestrating this twatty event, just being a mouthpiece at the moment…

Plus he’s the only one I find fairly likeable and I do not envy him for his job when the devs shart out twatty events.

But for real “lack of communication” isn’t the big issue. The big issue is hermorrhaging players’ credits with absurdly expensive boosters, people have been playing for days and have not received cases. Which is why they asked if the boosters were even working. It’s not that people are dumb and don’t understand how they work. It’s that they’re doing everything required and laying down the hard earned credits and getting plowed, with no lube, where the sun doesn’t shine.

(PastrySama) #63

I give the explanation an 8/10 -IGN “still no event drops”

(Diosito) #64

Crystal clear as CW and WTD events… lel

This is a nice system. Well, it would be if it worked.

(AnonyBOSS) #66

2 things that I’d think would really help:

 1. Have some sort of chart or info-graphic to explain the change over time with and without boosters. Having people being able to see and read physically of what happens with each booster would be the easiest way to go.

 2. Have some sort of warning/preperation time before the event. These are for the people (which include me) that now have to grind their arses to get the stuff (or attempt to get the stuff) they want for the event. Yes, doing so would ruin the suprise, and I understand that the update was announced a few days before launch (to the extent of my knowledge), but I still believe that having some warning time to grind and grab those credits to trade would have been better (and less daunting of a task . This entire thing’s RNGezus and there is grinding on top . . . )

tl;dr 1) Infographic to explain event boosters in the future
2) Advanced warning, at least a week or so ahead, in order to be able to prepare/grind for credits for usage during the event.

(AnonyBOSS) #67

Sorry for double post, but I forgot to mention that the entire system should be fixed, at least for the next time a similar situation occurs. I’ve seen many botch game launches and dlc’s that DON’T OBSERVE WHAT THE PLAYERS ARE ASKING FOR (If anyone played Heroes and Generals, you would no what I mean)

If the current system is not satisfactory, the community should have some say in the direction of the next event in terms of drops. If the goal of a forum is for discussion between players and devs, that’s what should happen the next event.

But I digress, the event still pretty cool and I quite enjoy the new trinkets :P. Just please make it a better experience nxt time Splash. I have faith!

(DeaDmaN2be) #68

Including me there seem to be a striking number of people who count to the “1 out of 1000”.
I have booster, I play all day long since this event started, I didn’t count the leads I got during the event exactly but when I have a look into my barracks it’s a way above 30 cases and still no single drop. From what I read in the forums I’m not the only one by far.

(Jaso) #69
And it only took you nearly a week to explain how the main mechanic works in an event you worked on for weeks. Good job fooling us with informations like: “Same DROP RATES as normal cases with 10 boosters” and not “less time to get a case with boosters”. I salute you on this event, honestly.
Why didn’t you made an progress bar with 100 games for a case and every booster lowers it for 9 in the first place so people know they have to play a set amount of games?
yeah thats nice idea … maybe they will start listen their user base (hopefully for next event)

or something like dickens trinket system would be nice

(MisterMurder) #70

Shoe wanted to say that 999/1 000 with 10 boosters will have to play 90 days to get a event case ^.^

Or maybe not so JK…
Why not display the current drop rate? Where is the problem?

Now with your explanation, we can have the max drop rate without any booster, just playing “x” hours (would be interesting which number is “x”).

So, but we don’t know if we just reached the max drop rate so it can be, that we buy a booster that boosts nothing, 0,0!

Why u don’t make it clear and show us the drop rate and time left for max drop rate or next drop rate raise.
Do u have anything to hide??
if this all is correct what u say, then it should not be a problem to show that
Maybe event case drop rate is so low they are embarrassed to disclose it.

(Gandalf_The_Bae) #73

I think what has made people so angry about this event is that in order to have any of these special event skins, you HAVE to spend your credits on booster, in order to have any chance of getting a case without grinding hundreds of hours for a case without one, like we were lead to believe.

And yet we have 2 contradicting statements from the devs.

 • the chance is so low that getting a case with 0 boosters is impossible (OK not exact wording)
 • the average player can expect a case after 30 regular case drops with 0 boosters.

So how can the rate for 0 boosters apparently be both an average of 30 reg cases and super low, to the point where you wouldn’t expect many people if any to have one.

And yet from that poll that was done, 28 cases were given to people who had 0 boosters, and thats out of 160ish people who responded who has 0 boosters. Also the only people I have seen with event cards are random level 7 who said they got it after 1 game with 0 boosters.

It’s pretty clear from community evidence that something is messed up.

Meanwhile you have many many people in the community who have spent hundreds of hours worth of credits on these magic boosters, and spent dozens and dozens of hours over the past week playing so that they could get a case drop only to get nothing, only to see people who have spent nothing (both time and credits) get all the rewards.

It seems like this is the only F2P game out there that does not reward the player for the amount of time and effort they put in.

People are understandably pissed, this will be the third event for many of them, who put in hundreds of hours in each where they got nothing again.
I guess people were hoping for 3rd time lucky, but no, we got shafted by RNG , miscommunication, and a system that pretty clearly doesn’t work.

Why does
1 game + 0 boosters = case
While
Many many games + many boosters =no cases.

People are annoyed that they have been robbed and forcibly made to spend their credits on this event and 0 rewards, it was OK in other events as you got those “regular event cases” which are for some reason missing from this one, at least with the other event you didn’t have to spend your credits, plus if you did at least you had something to show for it.

These boosters were advertised/sold to us as helping you with the chance of getting a case, except that simply doesn’t seem to be the case.

how can it be possible to receive over 40 regular cases with 5 active boosters, thats 10 over the average needed 0 boosters, so as far as i (not just me , the majority of the fanbase ) can tell, these boosters do absolutely nothing, or they do , except what they do is so little of an improvement (when it was advertised as being quite a large improvement) they are not worth having , and our credits have gone down the tubes never to be seen again, along with the time we spent getting them and the time trying to get cases from these boosters.

sorry for the rant, but i feel like i have been robbed.

(The_N00Ba) #74

@stayfreshshoe Thanks for trying to clear things up.

(pumpkinmeerkat) #75

@stayfreshshoe

Will all the elite case bundles available during week five also give a bonus guaranteed event case if purchased on the first day?

(vdll) #76

One thing makes me sad though - with all the shitstorm related to drop rates, we are kind of missing how well-thought and unique this event is.
Sure, devs failed at explaining percentages, but let’s appreciate the even itself(story, lots of free rotations for new players and a guaranteed event skin)!

(FerfyDerf) #77

So, is there any hope of getting refunds? We’ve spent credits and time on this, but just because we don’t have enough credits we didn’t get 10 boosters or what we wanted. This week ends in about 5 hours, and there’s no way I’m getting a case with 5 boosters by then. Why would you even set up the event to make getting first week rewards nigh impossible lest you spend tons of credits?

(Gandalf_The_Bae) #78

NO, This is Splash Damage right now.

(vdll) #79

I wonder how will they spend dem credits, perhaps buying a porche? :smirk:

(kittz0r) #80

played 60+ hours since Wednesday and no fucking event case, playing for 6-10 hours a day… yea seems legit.

i increased the boosters over the days, oh i forget we rigged all the even just because we had 5 months for an update and didnt do shit except for worsen the performance. you guys don’t even restart the servers or tell Nexon to do it, yea why shouldnt people warping all over the place with 20 ping.

clearly you guys are full of shit in your minds… too bad i spent like 70€ on this game since may 2015…
