(Dr.Diode) #1

hy …The Problem is that at Starting the ET Console it gives a Error
" Could not open OpenGl sub"
i know it failt to load OpenGl but the Riva TNT2 should have OpenGl???
I think :???:

I have a graphics card with a Riva TNT 2 chip works fine for me.

Try installing the latest Nvidia drivers and direct x 9

heh… i’ve got a tnt2, also… god i need to upgrade.

Make sure you update your drivers, windows xp doesn’t include support for openGL

Have you ever been able to play ET?

What I think it might be doing is trying to set a resoution that your monitor or graphics card cannot handle.

IF you open up your etconfig file in notepad

{should be able to find it in the directory

program files\wolfenstein - enemy territory\etmain

Their should be a line in their that says something like

seta r_mode “6”

Try changing whatever number is in their to 3 and see if that helps you at all

thx for answer

You guys should really pick up a Geforce 4 4200, you can find them for $80 if you look hard, and you will see a big impovement the second you start playing.

i’v got a tnt 2 on my 800mhz.

and a kyro 2 on my 320mhz.

some one needs to upgrade, yes no?

(WolfWings) #9

Switch the Kyro2 to the 800mhz machine, it’s much better than the TNT2.

And then set these three commands into your etconfig.cfg file:

seta r_primitives “0”
seta r_ext_multitexture “0”
seta cg_atmosphericeffects “0”

Boom, you’ll be getting 45-50fps, even on Railgun.

64MB Kyro 2 s rock, I had one before my 128MB GF4 Ti4600 and Ok I got double the frame rate in regular wolfy but I couldn’t tell the difference between 40+ and 80+. I also didn’t notice allllllllllllllllllll that many new sfx either. TOP notch card the Kyro 2.
