Reward the best in our community, let them arrange games

(RabidAnubis) #1

These people would not have mod powers. Only the ability too arrange games and give news weather official or unofficial.

Okay. Fixing the explanation. Basically let them have a blog somewhere where the best people in the community (Wolf nemisis, looking at you, although several have been listed in the forum already.) have a spot in the game where they can post things like tournments, community game nights, and stuff like that. They could arrange hide and go sneak (HILARIOUS GAME MODE), Private matches, and other stuff.

These people could also send balance suggestions to Brink, and gameplay suggestions (don’t get buggy about them) You should maybe only have three on each system.

There are obvious people in this community who will help this game grow, and I probably am not one of them. But don’t slow those people to having to come to the SD forums. Help them by letting them show the noobies the path to greatness. I think one of the reason why so many people quit was because the game is just plain confusing. Team Fortress Has a coach thing in it.

(Verticae) #2

Err, no.

10chars

(RabidAnubis) #3

Err Yes?

And what does 10 chars mean?

(snoopycat) #4

YES. Thats whats needed. MORE cops. Giving the defence force the power of censorship is a brilliant idea. Nothing could ever possibly go wrong there. Look how well nazi germany and Communist Russia did when their most loyal supporters were given positions of power.

(RabidAnubis) #5

More cops? What the hell?

I was suggesting letting them post in a blog in the game dude!? Arrange game nights and ****?!?!?!

Guess the title was badly worded. Fixed that.

(RabidAnubis) #6

Can’t reword the thread!!! No!!!

(TruGamer97) #7
and let those few trusted people arrange things, like tournaments and stuff, when everyone should get on, when people will and won’t be on
So when they say we have to play brink we have to play brink no matter what and when they say no brink we cant play brink…?

(snoopycat) #8

Yeah, thats what Goebbels said.

(thesuzukimethod) #9

i think they assumed you meant moderators here on the forum, even if your post doesnt actually say that…someone fixed your thread title for you (or you did)

(RabidAnubis) #10

Yeah. That was a fail. FACEPALM.

(TruGamer97) #11
Yeah. That was a fail. FACEPALM.
I still dont fully understand what your trying to say in the first post…

(RabidAnubis) #12

No, what i mean to say was let there be a blog on the side of the screen. No one wants to play 24/7, so let them set up when we should have community game nights, set up clan wars, stuff like that. Or news. They could post news.

(AmishWarMachine) #13

An example of what RabidAnubis is talking about are SuperCargo’s 5v5 and 8v8 games, each weekend he tweaks the ruleset. If one or three of the PS3 players were able to add Notification messages to the game, then the word could get out much faster and to a much broader base of players (only a really small contingent of PS3 Brink players frequent these or the Bethesda boards).

(RabidAnubis) #14

That is one way of putting it. So the majority of players can know what is important, even if unofficial.

In brink, this may involve gameplay tactics and a noob’s guide

(kronus126) #15

Hit him up, he has a fan site dedicated to brink where he can post most anything he wants. You should join

(Terminator514) #16

Good suggestion, but these things usually work themselves out. If the game has enough fans, the community will grow and expand based off word of mouth. Trying to force a community is not the best way to do this, however if you are suggesting that current players get together and play I think Wolf has partially taken care of that.

(FireWorks) #17

New mods for this forum would be needed since only Greased has been seen here for a while.
But I have no problem when SD is doing moderating themselves like they do now. Maybe 2 guys for times when SD is asleep or on vacation (like now:))

BUT what the OP says… No, thank you.

(.Chris.) #18

They already are, Greasedscotsman is one such person, a real community person.

Thought I understand english quite well, but if so, than this guy is begging for some kind of leadership? From guys he don’t know anything but their amount of “forum-stars”, is that it? Boy, you need to go to the army. Pack your 'sack, they are waiting for guys like you.

Seriously, I’m a grown man and I respect everyones opinion, if this one has a red star or one bazillion green stars doesn’t matter for me and shouldn’t for you either. But I won’t agree with someone based on the amount of stars above his avatar.

Why do people allways want to follow orders? Don’t they have a mind themselfs? Man you are as much worth as anyone here. And wolfnemesis is certainly a great guy, but I won’t accept anything I don’t agree with. But I’m allways in for a little discussion. Thats what a forum is for in the end.

Probably misunderstood your(RabidAnubis) initial post anyways.

(neg0ne) #20

Well…when i got it right, he meant someone who arranges things like:

“Hey , who wants to play on We.03. at about 18:00 cet ? lets put our voip up and have some matches or a small tounament.”
or " Who can play regulary on Fr nights ? Lets have somthing like a fun-squad that meets and plays together regularly to get deeper into the team thing u know like making up and trying strategies, be more coordinated and stuff without the drawbacks of beeing a clan right away."

Not the worst idea to have something like a blog where you can find teammates for more than just accidentialiy meeting on a pub once in a while.

But this is nothing that just best ( whatever that means) peeps from the communitiy could do.
