Resistance vs Security

(dommafia) #21

I’ve always wanted to be in a position to beat on and kill people that didn’t want to drink my koolaid. Security it is.

(murka) #22

Resistance just for the lulz.

(Rahdo) #23

Hehe, to give you guys a better basis to form your opinion on, here’s a little bit more about our two factions:

Security: tough, elite, well trained. fighting to maintain law and order on the ark. not always comfortable with some of the measures they have to take, but at the end of the day, they’ll do whatever it takes to keep Ark afloat and everyone safe. They are the heroes of the Ark, no doubt.

Resistance: smart, scrappy, passionate. fighting to ensure equality for everyone, as their people are near the breaking point, living in squalor in the slums. they didn’t want to have to resort to violence, but desperate times have pushed them to extreme and very dangerous measures. They are the heroes of the people, no doubt.

dunno if that helps, but FYI

(tokamak) #24

Yeah, definitely Security, I love playing different ideologies in games. Get off my lawn!

Thanks allot!

Quote for security

Keep the ark secret keep it safe

(tokamak) #26

Yeah they should definitely include that one in the voice-chat.

(shibbyuk) #27

Hearing more about the sides, I don’t think I’ll be hammering any particular F-key when connecting to a server!

(LyndonL) #28

Any updates to this? I’m leaning towards Security. Dem Resistence Folk be lookin’ miiiighty ugly!

(Xerxes52) #29

Security definitely!

(Lequis) #30

Resistance, gotta love makeshift weapons like Molotov cocktails. Also the light body type seems to go better with the famished look of Resistance.

(H0RSE) #31

I support the Resistance. If something similar to this were to happen in real life, I would fight for/with the people, not the system that governs them.

(brbrbr) #32

voted for “Security”, just b-cause they look more ordinary[like GDF in ETQW does].
if SD make Security characters being [noticeably]altered, but in more “usual”[than resistance]style, its can be aesthetically/psychologically more balanced, IMO.

p.s.
but story on R side is more promising.
i hope guys surive and grab some degree of Freedom from [fromer]opressors.

I am alittle of both tbh,
Security because like basiley said is more generic… I don’t want to look like a unique snowflake. I want to look efficient. Sexual undertone maybe?

But, I am also passionate and love innovation. But, all I think of when I see the resistance is retards that wear tires for shoulder pads as a fashion statement. I personally don’t see anything passionate of innovating about that. However, some Fiinal Fantasy nerd might see something in it.

When I think resistance I think terrorist(yes brainwashed) or militia type personal. People who don’t have government funding to back them out and resort to unorthodox means to accomplish a mission. Its all complicated with this topic to put it visually.

(tokamak) #34

As if people know what’s best for them. Pah. Without an ark there won’t be people to fight for.

(.Chris.) #35

Shame they removed them in favor for automatic context ones…

(tokamak) #36

Well, taunts don’t have to be part of automatic context, that would be horrible.

(.Chris.) #37

Nope, was my understanding they done away with all chat binds apart from the automatic context ones such as ‘need a medic’, ‘need ammo’ and such cause minority of people spammed them in previous games. If this is the case and I’ve not misread something then it is real shame, was little things like the taunts from previous titles that added to the overall charm of the game.

(AnthonyDa) #38

Just like WOLF did, and look what happened :frowning: (s(h)ame for many others “features” of BRINK).

(tokamak) #39

I think (hope) you guys misinterpreted that bit of rumour.

(darthmob) #40

[QUOTE=tokamak;216603]I think (hope) you guys misinterpreted that bit of rumour.[/QUOTE]It certainly sounds like there will be no taunts in Brink.
