Requested features for final release

(BrigandSk(A)) #81

Login into Splash Damage forum using the command posts in-game and be able to post and view all threads.

Mini games would be also nice add for those command posts.

Side missions to unlock during game 2 speakers, so we can fight while listening kick-ass songs next to command posts.

DLC to to install eyefinity on command posts to use the wide Brink wallpapers like we have in our offices.

But if you’d have ragdoll then you cannot calculate how the body will move and land, thus reviving would be impossible. And it’s features like these (revive, give ammo, buff etc) that improve teamplay and what this game is all about.

I agree tho, ragdolls for players who are unable to be revived (killed and gibbed) would be nice to see ;)
Well, they can blend the ragdoll into a finish animation so at least the guy lands face up so he can see around, and since there are no paddles all you have to be able to do is toss the syringe to the guy. So I don’t see it as necessarily a technical issue related to reviving.

I don’t care that much, but agree it would be nice to see them. I don’t notice everyone dying the same way so much as a pile of bodies all in the exact same pose. But no, not real high on my list of things I look for.

I don’t think I have seen any footage of the options menu as far as control settings on the console. I have decided to buy the game for the PS3 because most of my friends are playing on it. I also trust SD to make a great console version.
I don’t know because I don’t sit around day in and day out waiting for every scrap of information to fall from the developers mouths, and obviously neither does the OP; neither does, or will, the 70 or so percent (obvious made up figure) of the player base when the game is released. You and the elitists on this forum make up a probable small percentage of the current people interested in the game, and an even smaller number of the playerbase when the game is released. Don’t except everyone to have the same amount of zealotry that you lot do.

Amen. You would love very elitist brotherhood on the Bethesda forums (some of them moonlight here).

I don’t post any questions there anymore because I get treated like a moron and get talked down to. Believe it or not some of us have not read, watched, research every piece of information about the game.
EDIT:

Oh hahahah nice edit. Spelling indeed.

Oh dear, I was reading your original post sockdog trying to figure out where it was quoted from.
LOL@editing reason.

Kinda threw me too but I didn’t want to lose that rant to edited history. Who knew we had Mel Gibson on the forums.

(LyndonL) #87

I already do that. On PC using Steam… Steam has an in game web browser in the overlay, that defaults to Google. I simply made my Google default to iGoogle, and then made a bookmarks list for the front page - so when I open the in game browser it automatically shows me my bookmarks, and I have SD Brink forum as one there.

Yes very lame I know, but the amount of time I spend in lobbies between games or rounds or whatever means you need to kill time.
VIDEO:FAQ what is the Custom Button reMapping Petition about?

Please bother about the topic, there might be issues that can help every gamer out there handicapped or not

Splash Damage do the revolution and implement custom button remapping for consoles
This is what we should be discussing, sounds important for console gamers either handicapped or not.

Can it be done by software developers?

or it has to be done by console producers?

(SockDog) #89

I don’t think anyone disagrees with you, it should be the norm. My cynical side says it’s just less common because it adds complication for the average end user when they screw up the mapping and blame the game for sucking.

Would be nice (as always) to know if SD did manage to get this into Brink or whether they’d consider it in a future patch.

Stuff like this should be in a Gamer’s Charter.

Do people do this for movies as well?
“I just saw the trailer today and I think the main character should be recasted as ____ and the plot should be changed to ____.”
The movie is not going to change because of forums. Video games would be similar. I stopped using the bethsoft forums because every thread was just everyone imagining they have direct control of the game with no real conversation of what is actual.
