Request: Low Volume option

(EcafNoGav) #1

I was hoping that the game has a volume option that goes as low as COD’s. Surprisingly, a lot of games don’t and even worse is when games don’t even have a volume option.

Thing is, I got some headphones that don’t have a volume knob and a crappy amp that makes it hiss which I’m returning. Don’t want to get a better amp since it usually comes down to either that or a couple of extra games I could buy.

do you mean a “quiet mode”?

(EcafNoGav) #3

No, just a good range of volume that can go as low as COD’s. “Quiet Mode” just changes the levels of sounds on any volume. Not that I’m against that but it’s not necessary if their sound engineers aren’t as incompetent as Treyarch’s.

I love having the options for this as well. It’s also pretty handy for when you want to record gameplay and teammates voices.

“Yo Dawg! We heard you like consoles, so we put a console in your console so you can play while you play”

If i wasn’t at work, I would’ve made an xzibit pic for that.

Get proper equipment then. It’s not hard to do. Craigslist has free audio stuff all the time. Thrift stores will have things too. Stop trying to ghetto-game and then blame the games. Seriously, you have the most pathetic AV system ever if you can’t even control your own volume levels the way you want.

(Linsolv) #13

Or… now this is crazy… use your television or stereo remote to turn down the volume. CRAZY.

(DarkangelUK) #14

He uses headphones, I’m guessing so others aren’t disturbed by the noise. My sound system is the same (Logictech 6" sub, cant remember the model), the volume control doesn’t work for headphones. Luckily it’s connected to my PC and can use windows to control the volume.

A portmanteau of two difficult fields of study placed into a phrase meaning “it should be obvious.” Maybe to make it cuter or to appear more humble as the subjects are mixed (purposely) as if both are complicated that their meanings don’t matter. I would have thought people who participate in forums would be up to speed with common sayings like this. Then again forums are notorious for members taking everything ultra literally when it suits them.
