Repeating messages

(ARES) #1

I use t key for team chat. I type my message and press enter.

But what do I do if I want to say it again? Type it in again? Or is there an easier way?

I tried to use the console and click the UP arrow, but it didn’t repeat my last team chat message.

Is there a solution except of typing the message again?

HEY TEAHCER LEAVE THEM NOOBS ALONE

do this in console

\bind key say message where key is obviously youd put a key of yourchoice like

\bind r say message for team do \bind key say_team message

I know this possibility. But I thought there would be an easier way.

I thought maybe there is a option so that the game stores the last messages I typed in the chat dialog so that I just push a button and it will be sent again (without doing such console stuff like binding manually).

Is this the easiest way as you wrote with binding or is there a easier way? I thought of using the up arrow in console window, but unfortunately it doesn’t remeber what I typed in the chat dialog.

You have to type the actual message in the console for the up thing to work. If you use t to talk it wont repeat.

What Boomstick said but:

You need to use Speechmarks. eg; bind x “say Bla Bla Bla” or bind x say “Bla Bla” otherwise it wont pickup the spaces unless your ‘l33t’ and use _ like an idiot. :disgust:
