Same issue, HD 3870x2 (not two cards, dual GPU card).
Also I have a question about the 11.5a hotfix, Im using Vista(dont lol, I do that enough myself) 64bit. On the page http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst115ahotfix.aspx theres only XP and 7 links… lol? I assume I go for the Win 7 version. Yes I probably should know this by now.
Its sad, I can play Crysis 2 with no problem but this game runs terribly and looks ugly as hell with this gridding problem. The saddest part is that my girlfriends computer BARELY has the required specs and it runs and looks better than on mine. Plus still nothing from Splash Damage about this. I am really regretting buying this game on steam since I cant return it now. Would have rather used that 50 bucks for something that worked
I agree, its ruining what seems to be a great game. I really wish Splash Damage would at the very least post something to acknowledge the fact that this is happening. I like to think they care since we all shelled out cash for something that is not complete. I am almost to the point where I put off getting a new bathtub for another week so I can buy a new graphics card
Theres still problems coming from this game due to graphics cards
all of the HD4xxx series, some of the 5xxx series and most of the 6xxx series are having problems
Im not sure what series specifically the NVIDIA cards are having problems with, but alot of it is either OpenGL problems or just plain old missing code command problems
Go get the new bathtub, cleanse yourself of this filth, then come back and enjoy it when you get dressed
I would be if they would even post something along the lines of “Hey sorry about this here is what we think is happening.” But nope nothing just some trash about a fix that everyone knows isnt working. I mean the only response we get is this.
They have your money, my money and the money of r 40% of the PC gamers that bought this game and cannot play it because they didnt even bother to throw an ATI card in. Usually we call people like that thieves.
Chill. This kind of dev silence is actually kind of normal(sadly) when it comes to release-ish patches. Think it has to do with marketing during the first week. IMO.
I’m not sure what’s so surprising about ATi having an issue with an OpenGL game. Every OpenGL release in the last 10 years has had issues with ATi at launch, some high-profile programmers such as John Carmack have even publicly mentioned it.
Just chiming in to say I’ve got the same issue too. Eagerly awaiting a fix. I’ll be playing Team Fortress in the meantime, but I guess they still got my money, so that’s not really a relevant threat :\
Same issue and fps is slow, is better then it was after turning everything off and lowest res and I am running 2 4850’s 1gb each. Hope they fix it soon.
