i’ve noticed a strange effect on certain doors on certain maps, where i am able to see through them for a split second when they first come into view. it’s difficult to capture a shot of it, it’s so fast. but if i strafe back and forth so that an object is between myself and the door, i can repeat the bug in a sort of stuttering frame effect, which would allow me to basically see where i shouldn’t be able to.
at first i thought maybe it was something to do with my tweaked config, so i deleted everything and reset the game to all defaults, and reproduced it, using the first door i noticed it on - the axis door on the side of the library on venice.
i’ve made a little animation to demonstrate this:

pay no attention to the times displayed or the duration of the frames - i had to tap the screenshot key very fast while strafing quickly in order to catch this “on film”. the three frames here are not exactly sequential and are slowed down so you can see the bug better, but they represent the effect of me strafing out from behind an outcropping of wall and seeing through the door for a split second before it is “filled in” appropriately.
i’ve never used this to my advantage, but i certainly could if the opportunity presented itself. so in the interest of disclosing a possible game bug…
there you go.
feel free to ask about my hardware if anyone has an idea what it could be. all i can think of is graphics card, but mine is quite decent. then again my previous card was certainly fair or better, and i never noticed this with that card.
