Just noticed this while playing, you can no longer see players levels in lobby.
Was this intentional?

When I saw a lv 125 enter a non-level-10-or-higher lobby, the game was decided from there: no point staying. - Perhaps they hoped this would help.
It should be removed from everything. You can still see it in game so it’s not going to solve anything haha.
We were told that it would be removed from view when the queue system went live. But apparently it’s still showing up in normal servers outside of the lobby.
Hopefully they remove it from normal servers ASAP.
I actually prefer it this way, it stops low levels freaking out and leaving when they see a high level join or go on an opposite team.
I like it aswell, many times once the players are teamed up you can normally see a vast amount of plyer leave the game, once they see the high level player in one team.
PS: Level 125 isnt much, i today played with a level 177 and well, it’s not as if theyre gods or unkillable at all.

They should have removed the levels completely…why doing it only for lobby??? doesn’t make sense to me. What did they try to achieve?

wot, last time i have seen him with lvl 130, nice work mate !
I would be happy if they hid all the player levels ingame aswell, past lv20ish most players konw the game well enough so it doesn’t make much a difference other then giving people an excuse to shuffle because “oh he’s too high, not fair blah blah!”
They could keep levels shown in ranked, but in public it doesnt do much.
I like to see levels, then a can say if someone is just experienced or is suspicious for cheating. They can hide levels from low level point of view, and keep it shown from a high level point of view where you know that lvl is not skill and have more maturity in the game.
I want to see if someone in my team is just a troll or has no experience in this game. If he’s trolling, I deal with it but if he’s new, I know I can help him and it will help both him and my team.

1.Level doesnt mean maturaty, not at all. (sadly)
2.As much as it’s true that you can easier detect hacker if you see theyre level<10, if you play against them its easy to determinate if they hack or not. If they dont miss a single bullets its an aimbot. If they shoot while they’re not even around the corner, they hack.
Sounds a little strange but until now i always got suspicious on the first encounter and at the second encounter with that player i know if he hacks or not. If he’s in my team its naturally harder to tell, because some people interpret a bunch of lucky shots sometimes as hacks, just today i was asked if i turned on my aimbot because i hsed a little… too much because of more or less mere luck.
When I see in the chat that someone is cheating, if he’s in my team, I spec him when I die and can tell if it’s lucky shot or not. If he’s against me, I can see the level, and if he’s at low level, I spectate him. If he’s high leveled, I give him benefit of doubt. I know some friends who are very good players, even unknown from public, who seems too good to be real, but as I know them personally, I know they aren’t cheating. Sometimes, even if you’re sure of his cheat, it’s false. But it’s why devs look at the report and don’t ban instantly.
But apart of cheat, being able to teach new players is nice and being able to see levels when you are higher leveled is a good thing sometimes.
If you see he’s a low level and throw bad airstrike, you can teach him how it works. Levels are not skill, but represent experience.
Maybe people will just get on with the game and try and get better when viewable levels are gone.
levels in lobby are still the best way to see if a game is balanced, db would even be better off if it balanced around lvls rather than the current system they use for it, lvl might not always mean a person is better but in most cases it will.
I still am not a fan of hiding levels. It’s just a placebo which tries to help the balance issue.
If they manage to make a good balance system, level won’t be that important anyways.
Levels are not important and really should only be seen by the players themselves. Way too much “OMG your over lvl 20?! GTFO” in this game…
Hide levels completely and use ELO for balance.

they balance around how well someone did the last 10 matches (which is shit cause who knows against who you’ve been playing in those 10 matches), balancing around levels would make far more balanced teams.
Levels don’t mean a lot and are not an effective way to balance. By level 10 you have the maps and abilities down and after that its just game sense and aim. However if this is your 1st FPS then yes, maybe levels do make a big difference for you, but most players have played FPS games before. The only times I have made over 100kills was when in lower level servers. Trying to balance a game with very low and high ELO players in the same room will not work either. To really balance the match you need to restrict lower ELO players to low ELO servers and the higher/mid range to different ones.
With the current mix of skills, and not saying I’m the best ever, but often I can switch teams and change the momentum of the match. If 1 player can break the balance then there is too broad a range of skills/ELO in the match.
showing the lvl in the end of the match is nice so if a low lvl get a score better then a high one he get encouraged
