regarding vehicle damage.

(Cyber-Knight) #1

not sure if the programmers got a little lazy or did this on purpose, but all the explosives pretty much do the same damage to a tank or the truck.

takes 5 mines to disable a tank. 5 grenades disables a tank. 1 dyno and 4 greandes disables a tnak. 2 panzers and 3 grenades disables a tank, etc. etc.

we all know a direct hit with an airstrike will disable it immediately.

not sure if it’s fair that a dyno does the exact same damage to a tank as a grenade.

and the truck too. i don’t think it’s fair the truck should also need 5 grenades to disable it. I mean, it has no armour at all, and it can take the same beating as a tank? should be like 2-3 grenades to disable it.

plus the truck moves a lot faster, so it’s a lot harder for the Axis to disable the truck once it is moving compared to the tank.

I agree with the truck problem: Too hard to damage when moving.

Almost always on gold rush, game ended when allies have secured the crates, cos allies have blasted both truck barriers.

If two grenades were enough to damage the truck then engie with riffle grenade could stop it. Or soldiers with panzerfaut. I played many goldrush maps and I see truck damaged during escape only once.

many allies usually behind truck barrier #1 and it’s very hard for axis (due to their spawn) to damage the truck.

Solution #1: truck move slower.
Solution #2: truck is easier to damage (2/3 nades).
Solution #3: truck move slower each time it receives damage (seems to me the most logical)

Now for tank: When you re a soldier with a panzerfaust … you re supposed to be specially prepared for this vehicle. And you realize very soon that airstrike will do more damage than many many panzerfaust. So I was a bit disappointed by panzerfaust effect on tank.

A “Panzer Faust” is a panzer breaker … so why is it so hard to break panzer ?? Finally I suppose ET can not take in account the side of the tank that receive panzerfaust :frowning: … would be the better way to evaluate damage on tank.
I suppose side/rear are less protected than front.

Thanks for your great job SD
