[QUOTE=.FROST.;467298]I know you don’t have to tell anybody why you’ve decided to rather leave the alpha, especially not me personally, but in case you just didn’t thought about it; I think many of us here would like to know, what exactly led you and others to this decision. Just curious.
Thanks

I’m not entirely unhappy with the game, but somehow I don’t really see a bright competetive future in it and that’s what keeps me on board with any game ever.
I was a premiership division player, streamer, hungarian community manager and leader of the national team in Team Fortress 2 for years, and I always aim to play games professionally, so right now I mainly focus on Dota 2. I still think Enemy Territory is the best team based multiplayer FPS ever made but I feel that Dirty Bomb is not going to be as big as it could or should be. The good old ET feeling is there and it puts a smile on my face, but the overwhelming amount of “newschool” elements are a big letdown for “oldschool” hardcore players such as myself.
I preordered Brink back then when it came out, I was really really hyped, but it turned out to be a huge dissapointment. I don’t want to compare the games, but I fear that even though Extraction IS and most likely WILL BE better than Brink ever was, it is not going to be the game I -and probably loads of diehard ET fans- would love it to be. I feel like I made a little mistake again by being too excited for a new Splash Damage title too early, without nearly enough information on the gameplay.
120 USD is quite a lot of money for hungarian citizens like myself, but I figured it is worth the money to support the guys at SD and to give feedback, so hopefully they could make the best FPS yet again. Sadly when I got in to alpha and checked out the forums weekly, most of my questions and suggestions were already asked and suggested and almost all of them were turned down (strafejumping comes to my mind first).
So basically I was hoping for ET2, especially after Brink (I scrimmed with Epsilon players in the first week, but the game itself was a joke IMO, so I never joined a team, even though we were really friendly with 2Easy and other top players whom switched over from TF2).
Edit.:
I am going to give this game a shot for sure when it is released and I hope the final product can win my soul again, just like ET did. However in it’s current state I have to say this is not what I was looking for and I feel a little bit cheated yet again by SplashDamage, even if this sounds harsh.
