I’m in between moving and staying at a friends place, which consists of me having no place to setup my pc and the worlds worst internet connection. I preface with this because this means I have not been on here trawling through and keeping myself updated, and at 6am this morning I was scrolling through my Facebook feed when “Extraction” screen shots popped up.
Imagine you spend ( what I would consider ) a decent amount of money on a ftp game ( which is nothing compared to personal time and interest invested ) , you get embroiled and excited about being a part of the next step in a series of fantastic games ( except for Brink, ha ha 
) only to be updated by seemingly similar looking characters from some game of another title…then to find out its the same game and there’s now a company ( which I hadn’t heard of ) smooshing its non-SD fingers all over your beautiful baby…
I am of course being a bit over the top, but what you might forget is that we love the stuff your making, its exciting to us and it brings us in with you and makes us feel like part of the family ( which is what I presume to be the idea behind the inner circle ((mission achieved) )
So all this in mind, it would seem a bit un-strategic to allow weird photos of a foreign named game be the method in which where updated, especially when weird internet people like me have such an invested interest in the game. I don’t expect a tap on the shoulder and a warm hug to ease me into the idea but an E-mail with a heads up and a bit of re-assurance might be a good way to avoid any temporary kicking and screaming, again people who had had the luxury of keeping on the forums and playing the game might have known, but I did not.
my first reaction was NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MY BEAUTIFUL DIRTY BOMB…they gave up…they dont love me…they don’t want me to be game-happy…
after looking through information I found, calming down and educating myself I can see that this pairing of company’s can only mean that there is a strong foundation for “shootergame” to be launched from, and the robust support and understanding of FTP’s the non-SD’s are bringing should be seen as a good healthy step in the right direction. There is so much potential for this to be a massive engaging and long lived title, so it deserves to be done right and that’s not always done with whats available with one entity.
I posted up something like “$320 worth of regret” or something as cuttingly similar, I apologize and remain a screaming Fanboy and cant wait to see what can be made by this meeting of minds, I don’t care if you call it “Squeaky Pig Fart” as long as the creative brains from SD have a strong over-rule and say in what goes into the game, and why then I’m commander keen.
