For as long as I can remember there’s awlays been a debate going on in the RtCW community as to the balancing of the Panzerfaust. Some found it too powerful while others found it just right.
In ET with the reduction of the MP40/Thompson rate of fire the Panzer is just too powerful. Add in the fact that as you level up in Heavy Weapons your Panzerfaust charge time get even quicker and you start to gain the ability to launch rockets w/o even a full bar and the Panzerfaust becomes extremely out of wack with the rest of the game’s weapons and spawncamping becomes a serious issue. I’ve already begun to see this occuring in the ET map test, where well known RtCW panzer whores who can normaly inflict a lot of damage on an opposing team become flat out God like in their ability to single handedly take out an entire opposing force.
My suggestion to fix this is not to reduce the recharge time or the ability to fire a rocket at about half bar, because that would affect the mortar class, but instead reduce the splash damage of the Panzerfaust.
