Hey guys. A bit of a noob question to ask but I just returned to ET after like a 5 year absence.
I have the 2.60b patch installed. Whenever I go to join a server, I keep getting redirected to some other server. Why is this and how do I rectify this?

2 causes afaik
1: The server you tried to join is full and they’re full message is to redirect you to a new server.
If the server is 22/24 and they have 2 private slots then this could be the case.
2: There are a bunch of ‘fake’ servers tricking the master server into thinking they are real, well populated servers, but when you try to join them they just redirect you.
This was a topic of discussion a while back cause certain server admins where using the names of popular servers and making them appear with players slots like this 42/48 or 56/64, but when you tried to join they redirect you somewhere else.
To avoid this you should use external server browsers like www.splatterladder.com or join friends using xfire or the like.
