Recent Rise of Hackers

(NightingaleZ0) #41

Yooo I played Aurora before and can’t say I noticed it.

(Jostabeere) #42

Sure. There are always people who are better than someone else.
But I believe every player around here who actually played FPS games for years can spot hackers/cheaters/botters from actual good players.
There are high-levelled people in DB who have a shitton of experience, and lower-levels who have a shitton experience in other games. But you instantly notice the fact they play legit. They make mistakes since they have no “helping senses”.
If I get rekt by people like ragnak or FUNNY BLACK MAN, I know they’re better. If I get rekt by some lvl 3 with a private steam of a lvl 0 steam and his friend who sucks but vehemently defends him, I get really suspicious.
There are people who are low-level, have a low steam. (Mostly F2P games with some hours in them or 1-2 cheap games) and those people have an unreal game-sense.
And quite often they have their dog, who, like already mentioned plays the second hand and swears for the legitness of the cheater.

So it couldn’t be all of the cobalts/elites who make smurf accounts because finding matches at that level is horrific(we have the most popular DB streamer that made a smurf for his stream but no longer has that benefit since he got it ranked EO)? Or just smurfs in general.

There are players that played in high level competitive leagues in other FPS games. The pickup for this game is quite easy especially since there’s a lot of casual gamers that practically run in circles.

I’ve defended a player (as well as myself) that I know and regularly play alongside, but because of a hurt ego he was accused of wall-hacking. I’m not going to name any names but you can probably sneak into the forbidden closed threads in the recruitment section. Am I the dog in those situations defending someone who is legit?

That just seems really ignorant if you think someone’s friend(s) are not going to back them up.

btw my steam level is 1 and my profile is private
I’m showing all of the signs according to you

(Jostabeere) #44

You misunderstand what people write based on your ego while frequently insult people for having egos. I don’t feel I like to discuss anything with you.

(NightingaleZ0) #45

.> … <.< Just passing by.

(Kingsley) #46

Nope, read it L&C. Why is it that people with experience still get it wrong when spotting hacks

What did I misunderstand?
Who’s ego did I tort esp when we’re talking about hacking here? I am sick and tired of seeing and being falsely accused. Hurt egos are more of a problem here than hacks.

I’m going to defend players, it’s more likely that they’re not using hacks than they are.I agree with the shame policy here because it has a wise foundation. Most players let their emotions get the best of them. And about your profiling I know that people make smurfs (esp in EU and now a bit in NA) and play them. I would rather see them as they are then to just say that they are hacking nor is profiling a good approach.

You feel like you don’t get anywhere discussing anything with me because you’re peering through different lenses. I support a different crowd.

@BigRed
Just played against the same guy
It looks like he has aim assist and he has modified the spread on the weapons
Where guns like the minigun has zero spread and can fire like a laser across the map. I might post the video on dirty bomb’s subreddit

Are you sure it’s not just your hurt ego talking, though?

Possibly, I’ll look into it to make sure.

I see that you’re still salty
Flagging without a comment doesn’t inform me of what violation that is

(Jostabeere) #51

I’m salty because you’re breaking a rule which was discussed in this thread?

(Faraleth) #52

Personally I would strongly suggest not to do that since there seems to be a rather high chance it being completely ignored = you just wasted your time.
@SereneFlight I don’t know where you got that information from, but no one is ignored through support. If a hacking/report ticket comes in, it is reviewed by the GM’s. The only way they can do anything about it, is if people report it… telling them not to report is very little help at all.

Naming and shaming of a user on the forum. Obvious cheater or not. Read the thread.
“On the forum” or outside of the forum
I’ll remove it since its being debated

by the way, he has a reddit AMA
where he’s upfront about why he does it and how he doesn’t care

I was actually just having a giggle there.

I looked that up on reddit, and there’s no doubt, it’s a very obvious cheater.
I’ve also ran into 2 of these, in the past few days, after not seeing any obvious cheaters for like two months or more.
Maybe the title of this thread is kinda accurate.
Maybe there’s a new “undetectable” (for now) aimbot out there, or something.

It’s a damage, or rather bullet multiplier hack paired with an aimbot. Currently free.

Personal experience? Why bother to provide video proof of the hacker when they don’t even get banned. (aimbot + insta-kill + name change = no bans?)
Yeah… better just to use in-game report function instead of wasting time to report via website.

You do realize that a player can get banned, fire up another steam account, use the same name and keep playing until somebody reports them again right? They aren’t being ignored…they are being banned. But some people are determined to be, “LOOK AT ME I’M CHEATING IN A GAME YOU ALL LOVE LOOK AT ME”. Not to mention support has tools that allows them to investigate if a person is cheating or not that does not require a video in a lot of cases.

Also, if a person goes on playing and wasn’t banned and it’s the same account it probably means they weren’t actually found to be cheating. I have a YT channel filled with pub after pub of people calling out cheats on people who aren’t cheating.

Aaaaannnd since it wasn’t my first rodeo with Nexon, I had urls of their Steam accounts copypasted and all that shit.

(SiegeFace) #60

@-BigRed I came across that guy yesterday while I was streaming. I should probably file a report.
