Recent Rise of Hackers

(NightingaleZ0) #1

Hi SD and DB community. Recently there seems to be a rise of hackers in game. Some of them are bold enough to advertise in game and on forums. I’ve submitted a detailed report both in game and on support page for encounters. It is still a minor problem but I would love SD to investigate a little bit on this issue. Meanwhile here is a short video I caught just now of hacker advertising hacks in game LINK REMOVED. I think what we can do to discourage hackers as players is to

  1. Get everyone to not spawn thus leading to a very short game so the hacker gets almost no experience, enjoyment or credits.
  2. Record evidence and get everyone to report the player in game and then submit a support ticket afterwards.
  3. Vote kick the player but if the hacker’s got a friend voting no, then you could leave the game or just wait a few minute for the game to be over.
The purpose is to reward the hacker with nothing until SD brings down the ban hammer. That is the least we can do to help out.

Youtube require some time to process the video to make it 1080p so in the mean time it will just be blurry.

@RazielWarmonic @Faraleth Hi Senpais, I suggest investigating the source of the issue. The advertisement is pointing to this “website”. Thanks guys

We really need to be able to kick hackers from games more easily. At the moment, hackers are able to join with a friend and any votes against them simply cannot get through because both of them vote No, which stops the vote going through.

We need to make it so that it becomes a majority vote - if 4 people want a guy out of the game and 2 people want him to stay, he should be kicked.

I really think the likelihood of this being ‘abused’ by people who are just kicking random innocent players is going to be far less damaging to the game than having hackers who can’t be kicked.

i haven’t met one in a few month:(

Forth one in as many days. Advertising site posted earlier. You can’t even kick vote them.
Nexon needs to update their system and fast. Would also be nice if they named and shamed the hackers.

(NightingaleZ0) #7

Interestingly enough, that hacker is posting comment on my video saying wow that guy is pro… and started advertising. I reported and removed his comment …

(Faraleth) #8

I’ve had to remove the link for violating the “no naming and shaming” rule, regardless of how obvious of a hacker it was :frowning: However, if you send the video link via support https://support-dirtybomb.nexon.net/hc/en-us/requests/new then the correct people will have the info and can investigate as you requested. :stuck_out_tongue: It would be very helpful if you could send it over!

I always report on steam as well.

Any mod going to remove the link to the cheats?

(NightingaleZ0) #11

I think at this point those who are tempted already knows about the cheat. Those who wish to use it probably will not have problem finding them since people are spreading them in game and stuff but I do agree I should not post the link to that.

(NightingaleZ0) #12

I am surprised hackers are protected from shaming. I do not disagree and they should have the same rights as any other player but I did not intend to shame but rather to show that they do exist.

At this point I really wonder if the anti-cheat system works to be honest.
Cheaters seem to find a cheat that works quite easily.

Not to mention that NGS tends to crash and kick people for security violation randomly.
Some months ago I noticed that I usually got kicked if I spammed the jump key really really fast (didn’t happen for quite a while now).

(NightingaleZ0) #14

Personally I did not have many issues with the Anti-Cheat. I get occasional random CTDS but nothing crazy. The thing about cheats is that once somebody figured out a way to do it, they usually just send copies to others and so they start using it. All it really takes is one flaw and people can capitalize on it. In the case that I have encountered, someone created an aim bot and is monetizing the cheat and selling them to others.

Say what you want. It does not matter. If you have time to constantly waste life and create new accounts then it is your decision.

But first ask your momma for permission, kid.

So what you’re saying is… I’m bad at the game and I need help otherwise I’m worthless… Well good on you I guess…

I honestly think it’s only weak people that hack in a MP. People that don’t like a challenge.

(NightingaleZ0) #18

Boys there is no need to fuel the hacker. They love the attention. If they find hacking to be fun then it is their choice and their risk. You have to sympathize with them that all they ever do is create hack, use it, create new accounts and never invest in the game in case they get banned. It’s not like we lose anything. All it takes is report and play another game. Sure hacking exists long before. It is a simple fact. Just because it will be ahead of Anti-Cheat does not mean we just ignore it. There is a balance and always a challenge. There are lots of people out there and they can do what they want. As players, we just do what we do and have fun. It’s not like we lost anything but a few moments of our time. You can get mad but it’s not like it does anything.

(Litego) #19

Saw 2 hackers in the last few days. That’s 200% more than I’m used to. None of them got kicked either cause the vote didn’t go through.

I don’t get the “no naming and shaming” rule. The hackers really are bringing it on themselves, they deserve all the hate they get. While they may have be having fun, the rest of the lobby are not. Just like in Game of Thrones if you know what I mean
