I already told you at the beginning that I do not have the information on this topic.
I just give up and consider you telling BS on this one cause all you do is dodging the questions after claiming something.
recent fps drop
I believe Nail’s point is how can the FPS drops mentioned by the OP be caused entirely by the updated code Splash Damage wrote when the update occurred in October and the OP was written in November. Granted the OP stated the problems started occurring a couple of days before but that is still in November. Had the update been the primary cause of the OP’s problems I imagine there would have been signs of problems almost immediately after the update.
Since according to the OP that does not appear to be the case, I imagine something is going on outside Splash Damage’s control. It could be on Nexon’s side since they are partners in this project. It could also be something out of their control as well.
Who knows? All I know is this
Fact: We do not have have access to all the information concerning this topic.
While I kind of wish we did, I also understand that this ideal perfection will not exist. Trust always breaks down unfortunately.

That’s exactly what we’re trying to say. The fact that the lag came weeks after the update leads me to believe it’s something else, and what else can it be other than servers?
I’m still convinced it is servers. Some games I join right now I have to leave because I am getting 60fps for no reason, but I can leave the game and join another server with the same amount of players on the same map and magically be getting 150fps.
I do wonder if it has something to do with the Ping spikes I get sometimes. Hard to tell though since my network adapter appears to be giving me problem. I don’t know on my end.
I would suggest keeping track of the servers that do give you that issue Dox if you are not doing that already. Keep time date ect. Just saying that just to say it. Could also help any one else reading this.
@The_N00B You’re pretty much right. But it can be so much. His software changed without him knowing, software changed within the game files due to a bug, NGS got a patch and we don’t know how much NGS affects the game. But saying musltiple times “It’s nothing else, it’s Nexons poopy servers” without giving any information on this is BS.
Ok so right now, I’m even more convinced it is the servers.
Aus Objective 8v8 01 and I’m getting like 90 frames average, spiking down to 55 or lower at times.
Aus Stopwatch 7v7 02 I was getting about the same.
Both were pretty unplayable, and there was noticable input lag on my mouse when moving around in these servers.
Then I switch to US West Stopwatch 7v7 04 or something and I’m sitting comfortably over 160fps, some times peaking over 200, rarely dropping below 140.
Now I’m in the US West DBN PUG server and and I’m sitting on 180fps comfortably.
Both Aus servers running like rubbish, even with 35ms ping. Both US west servers running perfect even with 150+ ping.
yup it could literally be cause by millions of reasons. Unfortunately I don’t think even the master problem solvers can check everything efficiently. So I think they go after the leads they have first.
our main leads are Splash Damage and Nexon.
Now the latest update by Splash Damage does not appear logically to be the primary cause.
As far as we know no Splash Damage game files have been altered with out any one knowing.
It could always be possible the Splash Damage game files have been altered by some weird accident. I feel, however, this does not provide a strong enough lead to go on. The very act that would cause this is not consistent enough to really test and by default seems to be practically rare by itself which also makes it feel to me to be very unlikely. We need to try to find something more plausible first.
If Nexon’s NGS files have been updated it could be possible that it has something to do with it. We, however do not have access to really any information regarding it. This means there is really no good way we can test NGS’s involvement. This makes NGS a dead end.
One of the things we can “test” is the servers and apparently servers having problems can lead to FPS drops. So almost by default this is the best lead we got right now.
The next step would be to collect data, which Dox already started doing. It appears we may have a winner.
The next step I think would be to try to collect as much data on it as possible and try to communicate the data to Nexon via PMing Raziel Warmonic or make sure the Mods at least know.
Chances are I think this may be known already but sometimes redundancy is good
I don’t think it really ever was a case that only the servers are the problem. Something involving the servers is just the most likely thing it seems.
Also Nail called the servers “poo” not “poopy” Please pardon his language…
Nail… stop teaching the kids bad words.
My FPS drops like crazy, from 100 to 30, 40. Pretty much unplayable. GOSH WHY THIS AWESOME GAME HAS SO MUCH TROUBLE.
Come share my glorious 1.16fps… I’m not even raging at 0.4frames per second…
I almost did after I was asked to send an email to developers attaching logs and .dmp files, not knowing what their e-mail was… that was going to be one hell raising activity at 12MN.
