Performance is getting really bad lately. The servers seem like they are long overdue for a restart. That coupled with the latest bugs, is making Dirty Bomb frustrating to play. ‘Soon™’ isn’t soon enough for some fixes.
recent fps drop
tell you what ? there was no update, therefore NOTHING SD could tell you. Nexon runs the servers, ask them why the servers are poo
I’m not a tech wiz but I know that we have most of the games assets on the harddrive. Could you tell me how a bad server connection affects the FPS?
as none of the assets have changed, tell me how Splash Damage has done anything, only thing left is servers
To quote myself from yesterday
I’m one of the rare people who has never had FPS issues on Dome, until the last 2-3 days.
The last 2-3 days I’ve dropped from a stable 140-150 FPS on all areas of the map to 45-60 map on Dome with huge input delay on the mouse when the frames drop to 45.
There has been no update as far as I’m aware, so what gives? Could it be server related or something? It’s literally so bad for me right now I legit can’t play Dome.
You’re not alone dude. The last 2-3 days in particular have been cancer. I’m not entirely sure how it’s possible since there has been no updates, so I can only assume it’s server related?
I have had this too, the stuttering that was fixed in the last patch or hotfix has slowly started creeping back in, and I have no way of explaining it.

You did not answer my question.
overloaded servers reek havoc on all aspects of gameplay including framerate
now you answer my question
@Dawnrazor same here. After SS2 I was getting weird 1-2 second game freezes which disappeared after SS3 but they’ve came back over the last few days.
It has to be server related.

As far as I know and what people have said, this happened after a Summer Squash 2 or 3. So after an update.
this is the original post and question, not right after update
So you are twisting it the way you need. It can’t be because of an update even though multiple people reported that here, but one single player complaining means all the servers are bad now. As long as you do not present any info on the server quality, it’s all empty words anyway.
By the way. I read myself through 5 game forums to see if the connection affects FPS and haven’t found anything that proves it. In all different gaming forums people said the same. The FPS is affected by hardware, the ping or lags by the connection and both are independent. Maybe I looked in the wrong places, and if you’re more of an expert on this, please link me an explanation.
@AlphaUT same here man, my fps is still low for some reason. just dont want to play it
@Jostabeere one person? Heaps of people have been complaining about huge FPS drops over the last few days. Myself included. Some of my mates who usually get 150+ solid fps have dropped permanently to 60 or less magically out of nowhere. Myself included at times.
You have to remember not all of them voice their opinion on the forums.
I also made a post asking if it could be server related because I keep joining games and dropping frames like crazy. I can leave and join another server to have my fps issues resolve themselves, which makes me more convinced it isn’t my hardware.
Another one of my real life mates started dropping to under 60 frames last week out of nowhere and hasn’t touched the game since. He used to get well over 200 frames a few weeks ago - his PC is twice as good as mine.
Something seems to be up since these problems are happening out of nowhere intermittently and not specifically after an update
@Dox worst part is, noone from the devs or sd is properly addressing this. Expecting us to just hold it on. Its gets really annoying. Something as improved. Same lack of communication and doesnt take care of issues quickly. Such as mollys and this fps drop.
sd ARE the devs, Nexon is the publisher and run the servers and the anticheat
as has been stated several times already, these slowdowns started weeks after the last update, hard to see how they are related, meanwhile Nexon just updated the servers so we’ll see if that helps at all
Bashing the devs is hardly the way to deal with issues you likely are clueless about
@Dox You are right. I did no see more than this one though. But this was Nails counter on my argument that not only one complained about issues directly after an update so it must be the servers without actually explaining how this works. Honestly expected more from him, and not such a half-baked explanation “nexon runs the servers, it must be the servers”
I was answering one person’s question, the OP. Why you needed to lip off is beyond me
Because I was curious if it’s the case after you’ve said it multiple times. Yet I have not seen any explanation or a confirmation.
Didn’t say they have to confirm that their servers are shit. Said I like you to confirm if it’s actually related to the server quality.
I personally don’t have access to the servers or their logs so that may prove difficult, on the other hand you have access to the game files, you could show me where SD somehow magically changed something without an update
