  • Console window to see the server response
  • Issue basic commands such as lock the server,
    restart the server etc
  • Get player lists to kick and ban players by ID/Slot#, Name, GUID, or IP
  • Use common punkbuster commands such as take PB screenshot
  • Manage bans by using the Get banlist/Unban buttons

Heheh thanks for your support Northener !
Any ideas to improve it are more than welcome! I think Flak has already planned to have several languages supported to make it even easier to use !!!

(Northerner) #4

i posted in your forums already what i think would be some good additions

oh, and i also have your button link added to our ‘affiliates’ section on rtcwfiles.com
(hope you return the favor)

done ! (thanks for having added GDO, very appreciated! :D)

(zivs) #6

How about Linux? Will be there linux version too? :frowning:

(Etnies) #7

they probs used that at twl on u north

(Northerner) #8

of course we had to have this idiot come in and open his piehole again!

(kamikazee) #9

What I allways wondered about: how to exactly connect to a server trough rcon, but outside of ET?

I’m mostly looking for a minimalistic console like program.

(Northerner) #10

well then, this is the program for you!
just way simple to use!

(kamikazee) #11

No, the problem is that I need a tool that could work on a Linux console as well. That’s why I’d like to know how it actually connects and write a little tool.

Of course, this program can certainly do for when I’m using Windows. :chef:

(Etnies) #12

ah northy northy dont be so grumpy :>

(Marko) #13

@kamikazee: can’t you just start this one through Wine? Since wine emulates the win32 API, VB should run really smoothly on it
If not, I might (sooner or later) recode an rcon tool with qT or GTK… but the delay might be quite longer

(Fusen) #14

it would be cool to have a player list window which refreshes every 5 seconds, instead of having to specifically click show players

(Northerner) #15

do any of you use the ETAdmin Control Center tool?
it is an awesome little program also and some of the
best features it has is:

shuffle by xp
shuffle by xp without restart
lists players and which side they are on
ability to move players from side to side
pause game
map restart
lock/unlock teams
swap teams
lists all console items including private messages

if its possible to create those features into your program
it would be the most powerful server tool ever created!

(Marko) #16

thanks for the ideas Northener & Fusen! I’ll suggest these directly to flak in the GDO Forums

(kamikazee) #17

I’ll give it a try.
I’ll keep you updated.

Save that as a text file as /usr/local/bin/rcon or somewhere in your path and make it executable.

(kamikazee) #19

Ah, that’s an interesting script…

Have any of you tried HLSW its an awsome little program as will and you can control almost all popular game servers with one program. We run MOHAA SPEARHEAD, CODUO, COD2, andWET servers all off one program. I will be giving yours a run for the next couple of days thanks for the hard work and great tool!
