Rather need suggestions for 2v3, 3v3, 3v4, 4v4 maps for ET

Yeah, I guess I didn’t really need that specific a topic subject.

Geez this place has a lot of emoticons.

Wait, where I was? Oh, right.

I’m not 100% sure this is the right place to ask, but can some experienced (or even inexperienced! I’m not picky!) Enemy Territory players suggest some good, really good or flat-out excellent maps for ET which can be enjoyed by small teams (the ones listed in the subject)?

I basically want maps that are as close to the default maps as possible in terms of size and balance. The people I play with don’t really go for maps with lots of empty space (due to small teams), long walks, or any filesize-inflating “gimmicks”. They just want some neat and compact maps that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Please help?

et_base? et_village (village rox!)? et_beach?

rtcw maps seem to work fine (imo). checkout the 3on3 & 1on1 ladders @ clanbase.com for their map list maybe you can get more ideas there.

It’s a tricky one.

Small maps don’t generally suit ET that well. Large maps don’t suit small numbers of players.

A few we have had joy with, which work 4v4 and at a push are good 3v3.

ET Frostbite - conversion of an RtCW custom, can be OK 3v3.

Raw Castle - might want to ban landmines though.

Reactor - 4v4 is probably about the limit on this one though.

TC Base - RtCW stock map converted for ET, good 3v3 or 4v4, can be playable 1v1 nobody ever defends both radars anyway.

U-Boot good for 2v2 and up.

Arha Beach - not the prettiest map but works well 1v1, 4v4 might be too many for this one.

Decerto is a dueling map designed to support multiple 1 v 1 and 2 v 2 duels at the same time

And if you want a little map with only 1 duel going on, you could try ET Headshot2.
It could work out for 4v4 as well, but it might prove a little too small. It depends.

Hey, thanks! This is a big help.

There were two 1024^3 map contests (meaning the map has to be 1024 units in each direction).
One in a german forum (will try to get a mappack download link) and one here in the forums.

Mountain Radio is good fun with low numbers:

Should have added Decoder which plays well 4v4 and not too bad 3v3. Although it can be a dead giveaway when Axis only defend one decoder.

(Gringo) #10

Decoder dont suit 3v3 or 4v4 imo. The point of havin the other decoders is to act as decoys. If u cant defend them due to small number then it is pointless!

I want to pimp my “CTF Prefab” for 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2:

Townsquare could work with 3v3 or 4v4

(DAbell) #13

Well i would recommend St Nazaire for small team map its compact lots of attack routes and some good battle areas. Not too huge a file size either.

Enjoy
