A couple days ago i was on the cusp of Silver Master. Now its four games later and i’m going to lose Silver Operative the next time i play ranked.
Every game is the same: Someone dislikes the team setup and starts immediately bitching, or is just trolling and quits two minutes into the game. From that point on the team is likely doomed to lose, along with the rank of all of the people being shat on by the person bailing out.
This needs to be resolved if the developer ever wants their game to be taken even half-seriously. At the moment i’m 40 points from getting an extra card at the end of the season, but its pretty pointless because it feels like i’m going to have to sit through another four losses, a derank and a whole lot of misery for that card.
The game needs rank protection for games where people drop out and don’t rejoin, and far more severe punishment for repeat offenders. forfeit of rank, trinket and temporary (permanent even?) ban for people who just keep dropping out. I know people will argue that its not always intentional, but honestly, if your internet or system is so poor that you’re getting repeatedly dropped from matches and you’re unable to rejoin within ~10 minutes, you have to really think hard about whether it is fair on your team to be even playing ranked.
