Dug up an old video I was working on LINK. Don’t think I will be adding to it, so meh. Just some clips from demos I took around the time of the Xclamation drama; only time I used f12 in a pub . I was experimenting with a soft bloom effect for QW in this… I think. Now to finish some real moviez.

Eh it was from a few months ago so… 1.5 . You just have to try harder. (BTW I usually lag a ton in game so my demos tend to be out of sync)
On a side note, here are some comparisons of a bloom effect I used for this particular vid. I haven’t really seen any videos that have tried to use bloom, but I think it looks better than default (maybe I have been watching one too many CS:S vids lol). Any thoughts?
Note-Artificial glare in this specific shot accounts for the over bright sky.
what made me think most of the shots are 1.2 is the inconsistency in the hitsounds.
As i recall headshot sound was introduced later (? or maybe it actually was introduced in the very 1.2; oh well).
If its all 1.5 - then nice one!
A number of the shots are hard to hear due to ambiance or the music (my pub hit sounds seem strangely weak in general). I can only hear headshot sounds clearly in promod, with the modded sound files. I don’t think I have any demos from 1.2 as I was fairly new to FPS in general around that time, plus I lost about 2gb of demos when my hd died last year :mad:!
Same. Can usually only make out the dings of the headshots. Would like them to be louder, as I play without hitflash to keep my aim a little bit cleaner.
There are a few neck shots, but the majority are heads (3-4 necks/bodies). I don’t know why the first noscopes sound like bodies, but you can see I am shooting at the head pretty point blank … is there a cvar that affects demo hitsound volume as opposed to in game? 0:49/1:25 are bodies, and 1:03/1:50 are necks. 1:31 is QW hit reg at its best… no idea how that didn’t count for a headshot. But meh, anything else I recordis going to be in promod and the hit sounds are pretty clear for that.
