raining UNDER water

for some reason my rain rains UNDER my water, when i want it to

  1. Stop on the top and make splash marks like on radar

  2. not rain UNDER the water, it goes under

also the water is a func_bobing incase that dose any damage?

well, i would test it without func_bobbing. maybe it always falls through entites!

Yes the rain detects how low it can go from tracemap. Just create a tracemap and do vid_restart

ok, i made another and its fixed, thanks all

but what i would like too is the rain to splash on the top, how can i do that?

Let’s think about that…hmmm… what could modify a texture to draw some circles imitating rain… hmmmm

well thanks for that, that REALLY helped me

duhh, i know i use the folage thing what i wanted was for sum1 to MAKE me some rain drop circles, cos im not so good with things like that, paint dosnt do crap and its the only thing i know :rolleyes:

actually comeing to think of it, when you shoot water you get effects, where can i find those puddle marks?

EDIT: i tried google and came up with nothing that can really help me

i looked all over the GFX folder and still found nothing

i have 1 question maybe not fully connected with the topic but if someone answers me it could be great, so:

In the radiant i make the atmoshere key: ,… then i compile;
then i re-generate the tracemap…
then there is no rain,.,?! why? what about this: vid_restart?
where do i write it? in the console? HElP :???: :disgust:

well you have to leave game to move the tracemap to the levelshots folder and rename it yourmapname_cc

BTW i looked all over and i give up and i would be extremely grateful if sum1 told me where the water puddles where

i know the models wurzburg used are not there because they were compiled into the map, but when you step in cater or shoot water below the splash there are circles, where do i find them?

i mean… everybody is gunna turn it off anywayz…
if it is good for something it is good for eating fps… (if it costs fps that is)
anywayz… you will never see rain in my maps… i just dont wanna do all that stuff and stress out for something ppl r gunna turn of anywayz :S
