So I play with some guys using the nick : reichsführer-SS and some others I don’t remember.
Do we have a solution for some kind of problem like this ? Ban ? Kick ?
Racist Nicknames : Nazi zombies are back !
So many nicks like this on steam … almost impossible to kick them all.
Nazi zombies are everywhere ! I just don’t want to play with them !

Mustang is on the money, you can go to their Steam player profile page and report them from there.
And how about toxic/asshole players? Will you be implementing any kind of report/commend system? I’ve had a few assholes both in my team and on the enemy team. IMO, you need some kind of way to filter these people into “low priority” queue’s or something as a punishment. Not sure how much extra work it would be but you need to stand against that kind of thing as a studio.
How does it not make sense? Any big game (CS, Dota, League) has a way of punishing toxic players. Either by putting them in their own, low priority, queue system or by muting them from being able to talk/type or both. Some even implement short bans for the worst people.
Unfortunately I’ve noticed the toxicity increase this weekend.
I’ve been playing a game called Nosgoth (on steam, in beta stage), while in the lobby if you right click the name of a player it will give you several options. One of them is to visit their Steam profile page, where you’ll be able to report a violation if needed be.
P.S.: I’m sure other games also have it, but this one was the first to come to mind.

If the solution was to give people power, then that power will be abused, and more innocent people will get affected, for example:
Admins / semi admins / refs in FPS games with dedicated server: You get banned if the server admin or people with power dont like you for being “too good”.
Gone. Perm banned.
Justice? Nope.
The solution you are looking for:
-
Ignore trolls like that who use offensive steam nicks.
-
Report their profile in steam
However DB needs more mute functions.
mute voice on individual players
mute voice on all players players
mute chat on individual players
mute all-chat (showing team-chat only)
mute all-chat, and team-chat.
Preferably this list of mutes will be stored on your steam-online-config.
Oh btw, please DB, have cloud-steam-config storing like many COD games have.
The days of storing your cfg file on dropbox, is…
old
Yea it’s a fair point, how can we report someone if we can’t find their profile.
Although during the game I’d rather not sacrifice playing for such a thing. A “recently played with” list would be nice though, from which you can friend/report.
So give us the possibility to do it in a simple way, like said before some link to the steam profile to report them can be nice, and a vote kick option need to be enable in the lobby (random pub), and in game.
Just a question can we be able to bind the “tab + unlock mouse bouton” cause actually this is not ideal for me I mute some people randomly when I check the score due to the bad assignment of this “unlock mouse button”.
Hehe, I just asked the same thing.
Can we make this a bindable key?
My right click is sprint and I often look at my scoreboard whilst sprinting.
Yeah a reporting system is something that we’ve spoken about in the past and may well find its way in-game.

Or maybe at the EoR screen. There’re a few lower priority things like this that’re still hanging around from the switch to Steam. Getting party MM up and running is the top Steam priority atm though.

Cloud-based configs, living the dream :P!
I have not run into one of those racist guys yet, which are most certainly more trolls, than actually racist people. I don’t think that they are that plenty. And who tells you, that “SS-Uebermensch” isn’t actually a blerd in his basement, trolling his butt off? I’d say, an easy way to report them(i.e.“recently played with” solution) would be nice, but otherwise I’d just suggest, ignore that poor attention w#ore, or shoot him in the face as often as you possibly can
